my muse has been missing for three days, and has just escaped/been found/etc. send "Hello?" for what my muse says in their first phonecall to yours, when they finally get access to a phone.

with autumn comes colorful leaves, crisp air, holidays and comfort that one can only find within warm blankets and warmer foods. pumpkins and apples, spiced drinks, sweet desserts.

fall is the season of change, and aurora finds it almost curiously fitting for the state of her life as of late.

fresh out of the academy with top of the line grades and an almost wunderkind ability to charm those around her, it was no surprise that she was scouted immediately for the media liason position; what she wasn’t expecting was to be assigned to one of the bureau’s best teams. the BAU was always her dream, but SSA aaron hotchner’s team was legendary, and as she straightens the collar of her pale green silk button up, she silently sends a plea to the greater universe to not let her fuck this up on her first day.

jj had been a tremendous help so far, giving her a stack of detailed notes on the team and the workings of the office, little things to make the adjustment easier on her for her first day. the heavily pregnant woman had thought of just about everything, and aurora had thanked her profusely the entire time they’d spoken.

trailing into the building behind a pair of chatty agents in suits, she mentally checks over that she’s brought everything with her, right down to the shiny laminated ID around her neck. extra pens, highlighters, markers, two planners and several binders for case files and notes. it might be a little excessive, but she’s determined to be prepared.

better over than under, right ?

SSA hotchner is slightly intimidating, all seriousness as he leads her around the large office floor; it’ll be a miracle if she remembers where the bathroom is, but the few team members she’s met — SSA’s morgan and prentiss — seem kind and welcoming. so far, everything is going smoothly, and she keeps metaphorical fingers crossed that it stays that way, at least until she can get her bearings. so far it seems as though she’ll get her wish, right up until she crashes headfirst into somebody mid-sentence, sending papers flying everywhere.
