obviously it’s hilarious that eddie has barely driven away and already half of LA is debating whether he’s gay and/or his best friend is in love with him but i am tired and it is nighttime so i am once again having a Feeling. about the fact that someone loves eddie like this. loudly and obnoxiously and persistently to the point where other people are threatened by it, or at best annoyed and begging him to shut up. because when has eddie ever had a love like that? when has he been someone to brag about knowing? someone who’s part of every fun, joyous memory that gets recounted over drinks? someone who’s missed so acutely that the person who loves him needs other people to witness it, because it’s not enough to miss him alone?

i’d happily bet all my money that eddie doesn’t even think that’s ever possible for him. just imagine you’re eddie diaz and you’re in texas and it’s already started crushing you back into shape and you don’t know how in the hell you’re going to make it through. and in the meantime your best friend is harrassing your coworker just so someone will listen to him talk about how absolutely incredible he thinks you are. he remembers all the things you’ve ever done to make him laugh. he’s witnessed so many of your mistakes, and he still thinks you’ve never done a wrong you can’t right. he has stars in his eyes when he talks about you and he loves you but you have no idea how much. and you had to leave him but the love will be right there for the taking and it will be the scariest thing you ever reach for but you will!!!! god. you will

ok but what's the over/under that on their next shift during bobby's morning announcements buck raises his hand and says uhhh cap? I have an announcement. and bobby says sure buck go ahead. and buck is like "i just want to make sure everyone knows: i am not in love with eddie. thank you. not taking questions at this time."

“big personal and professional decisions” and it’s just buck applying to the el paso fire department. for reasons that have nothing to do with his very straight best friend eddie. actually. he just thinks that la has offered him all it has to offer. and that it would just be easier to move up the professional ladder there. in el paso, texas. it’s just a bonus that his straight best friend is there. and he has really thought this through, cap. this would also really aid him in his personal growth and it’s seriously the best move for him. professionally and personally. nothing else.
