her powerpuff uniform is retired somewhere in the back of her closet and while bubbles no longer seeks out danger, she's not going to avoid it either. there's a monster attacking downtown, what's bubbles supposed to do? not help? his head peeks around at the same time as the other woman to watch her take aim and fire. "okay!" bubbles lifts off the ground effortlessly, floating right now just a few inches above the concrete, ready to fly out. "i can distract it, and you can do more shooting."

"Yeah, I'm gonna try." This girl is incredibly chipper, especially for someone currently in the middle of fighting some strange monster. And the time she's spent doing this hasn't seemed to jade her a bit. Huh. Safety clicks off as Katrina peers around the building edge (just her left eye is even past the brick, but it's fine, she's left-eye dominant anyways) and aims. And with a slightly muffled pow of a gunshot, she finds her mark. Unfortunately, that also alerts this strange creature to their general direction. The brunette ducks back behind the building. "Okay, we need to move."

with one hand bubbles curls her hand into a fist and cracks the knuckles in her thumb. this woman swears a lot. "yeah bullets should work!" her eyes alight. she doesn't look the type to be gleeful about the idea of something being shot at, but she is. "are you gonna shoot it?"

"Well, fuck." Brows furrow, glancing down at her own arsenal. Jellyfish monster with big shocking tentacles? This is why she doesn't live in New York full time. That puts knives out of the question, then. The magazine of her pistol is checked, a glance is taken beyond the corner. "Do you think bullets would do anything?"

"weeell, it's very cute! you should definitely hang onto it. do you think it comes in blue?"

"thank you so much! gosh, it's like the third time this week this has happened, i need to get myself a new purse, i think..."

"uh huh," she says about the monster and not in reference to if she's killed it, "it's pink and has big shocking tentacles!" they're leaving burnt skids against the pavement and alongside buildings. bubbles ducks down next to katrina, not for safety — she just wants to be a part of what's going on. "but no, it's very much alive."

"wha—? i don't talk that much." her arms come to cross her chest and she pouts at buttercup. can't go two seconds without be insulted in this house. "i talk a- a regular amount. there's nothing wrong with how i talk. besides, love can't be my thing. it's the powerpuffs'!" buttercup's is being a meanie. "so THERE!"

like any fight between any of them, it all seems to fade into something else. “not thinking is not your thing.” she doesn’t think he has to think though— stuff tends to work out for bubbles. there’s more good kind, smart nature to her than people might sometimes expect. “love and shit is your thing. and talkin’ a lot.” maybe bubbles is short for bubble gum cause those gums sure love to move.

✶⭒❥ DETAILS ABOUT OCS ❥⭒✶ where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace? / from @entriprises

bubbles was born in townsville, usa and has never left for more than the occasional trip with his family or on official powerpuff girls business. technically from the movie it seems that the girls don't live quite within townsville, but more in the suburbs surrounding it or maybe just a bit on the outskirts, but bubbles still considers townsville home. she LOVES it. capital L-O-V-E loves. ultimately this is one of the reasons that they help to save the town over and over and over again. it also doesn't help that it's a place she fits in very well, despite the powers making her stand out. townsville, for all the bad guys that reside there, is an extremely charming, friendly, and upbeat city — just like bubbles. she can't imagine living anywhere else and wouldn't want to.
