goddd like how do you explain dan and phil to people. it would be easier if it was like "oh they were both early emo nerdy british youtubers who started off collabing and hanging out and then they got together just not super publicly" BUT NO. dan howell was an 18 year-old who was so obsessed with amazingphil that he incessantly commented on his social media, started talking to him under the guise of wanting to learn how to make videos, traveled by train to stay at his house, and had phil acting like they were star crossed lovers by the time he went home. nothing about them is normal.

All im saying is i can't be trusted to concoct a dan and phil interview. If it was me I'd act like I didn't know them at all and I'd ask them shit like "So have you thought about expanding the dan and phil brand to add other live-in coworkers to the channel? :)" I'd "accidentally" print their names as Dan and Phil Lester. I'd put the 2009 tackle hug as one of the pictures in the article. If I snap a pic of them for the interview I'd put text over their left hands. I'd name the article Dan and Phil are More Than Friends with the subheading "they're partners in a brand 15 years in the making with sold-out shows around the globe"

Look it's not about whether or not Dan and Phil kiss that does NOT matter. It's about 10 years of internet history meme culture emo culture lining up perfectly for one day. The fact that all of these people happen to be in the same place at the same time, even though the bands broke up and Dan and Phil went on a five year hiatus, is a goddamn miracle. It's fucking beautiful even if nothing happens.
