The Durham Cathedral is one of the oldest surviving Romanesque  buildings.  With its ribbed pointed and  semicircle arches, it’s stonework is a fine example of Romanesque architecture.

1500 year old cave paintings found in Izcuña, Chile near El Médino.  The red paint made of iron-oxide depicts hunters hunting marine life such as whales, sharks, and other large creatures. On this day back in 1851, Hermen Melville wrote Moby Dick.
