Here’s another one that could have been. On the face of the National Bowling Stadium. The call came out for proposals that tie the University of Nevada Reno into the city will be given priority. Hence the wolf and colors chosen. I thought this was kind of weird call, but maybe UNR was paying for the art, but they are not. I didn’t get this project but would still love to paint this theme in the future. The more I read about this project and the issues surrounding it, I’m not too disappointed that I was not selected. This isn’t about not being selected, I know the artist and he is a friend and great artist. I know they have already asked the artist to change almost all of his design. Not sure what vision the council wants to provide. Hitter, Ted Williams. Ted Williams, the hitter. Lifetime average of .344 and the last player to hit .400 in 1941. In 1942 he hit one of his two triple crowns and also entered active duty with the US Navy. His first of two military services. Williams wanted people to say, “There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived.” Original 1 of 1, spray paint and acrylic on a 20x20in deep edge canvas. Floral Eclipse Original acrylic and spray paint on a 24x36 inch canvas. I actually started this painting about 2 years ago. Never finished it and let it sit. Finally got around to fixing it up and figuring it out. I’ve been wanting to use this floral design for a while. Created it for a mural that I didn’t get. So now I get to explore it! Messi 36x48in on paper. Sold Made this for my nephew in AZ as he might be the biggest Messi fan. I hope it provides some inspiration and drive. Keep being an awesome man. And I said it before, but this year is the most soccer I’ve ever watched. But now having 2 kids both playing the game, it’s inevitable. And what an amazing cup and finale.
