concept — amanda had always thought she would end up doing something great whether it was because of her degree or band but she finds herself struggling to achieve anything when her pararibulitus puts her life on hold. however everything changes when a run in with a past band member introduces her to the drug nzt

however, when she goes back to look for another pill, amanda finds her old friend murdered and the fbi at the scene. she spends the next couple of days on the run from agents dirk gently and farah black, trying to use the rest of the nzt to solve her friends murder.

amanda is accused of the murder and becomes determined to solve the case with the little time she has left before the drug wears off, which with the help of agents black and gently she succeeds. 

when in their custody the fbi discovers that amanda is immune to the side affects of nzt that killed so many of their agents so farah convinces her boss to hire amanda as an analyst so they can continue to monitor her.

while being Jewish has always been a significant and important part of her identity she has never believed in god.

she was raised as a secular Jew which means that it is a part of her family and tradition
