Hey, thought you should know that this blog got mentioned on the Sex and Psychology Podcast on an episode about monster fuckers!

I had no idea that the polls I reblogged might help with data for a multi-platform study, super cool! I looked it up thanks to this, I haven't had a chance to look at my feed in a few days. Whoops! XD

Also finally noticed she has a whole site thanks to this, it was interesting to see the larger in-depth multi-platform survey. As she mentioned in the podcast, tumblr leans more grotesque, so it makes sense that the results are more tame then we'd get here. but cool to check the pulse the larger community. I'll have to spread word when the next survey comes around, surely we can get it past 2,200 next time!

Earlier today I had a really bad meltdown and wanted nothing more than the comfort of my beloved childhood blanket. However, this previously trivial comfort is unfortunately impossible now because, oh yeah, I realized at the start of the year that I liked the feeling of swallowing torn bits of it, and over the course of three months I ATE THE WHOLE THING so now it's GONE. Whoops! Silly me! I literally devoured my most precious item! Can never snuggle it again! Or explain to anyone in my life WHAT happened to my comfort object!

Thanks for all of the recent feedback around Community Labels being incorrectly applied to content. In particular, we appreciate the input we’ve received from the LGBTQIA+ community and understand the frustrations from folks who felt that their content was unfairly labeled. When we realized this was happening, we immediately investigated and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

The LGBTQIA+ community makes up about a quarter of the Tumblr community. It is important for us to support all Tumblr users, especially those whose safe spaces are under threat in certain parts of the world.

As you know, alongside of the rollout of Community Labels we also expanded the types of content allowed on Tumblr as a way to welcome more creativity, art, and self-expression. Our goals remain the same today. Human error happens and we apologize to anyone who has been impacted by these mistakes.

We are working to better understand what happened and will follow up with more information soon.
