Yelena: Stop mixing Shakespearean English with modern English. It's confusing and you're annoying, you dramatic hipster.
Kate: I swear to the heavens, if it be true thee sayeth one more word, I shall yeet thee across thy second dimension.

Disney: So Wanda is the antagonist of MoM. She wants to steal her children from another universe-
Fans: Oh I get it! It’s like a reverse “House of M”, right? Wanda tries to pull Billy and Tommy into her universe, and accidentally brings mutants into the MCU, easily integrating the X-Men franchise you got the rights to from the Fox merger with the Avengers. That explains why Professor X is in the movie.
Disney: Oh. No, that isnt it…
Fans: Oh. Well, what’s the plot of MoM then?
Disney:

I saw this comment about Wanda on youtube:
“ This movie really reaffirmed why Wanda is one of my favorite MCU characters. She’s not necessarily a hero, but more of a redeemable villain. She can do bad things without realizing it, but will not hesitate to do the right thing when she sees that her actions are causing harm. Of course, in this case, she was corrupted by the Darkhold, but she was still willing to sacrifice herself so no one else would be corrupted by its power. She was a monster in this movie, but still not beyond redemption.”
They said it PERFECTLY!

Okay but even after all that our unbelievably powerful, gorgeous, and possibly slightly crazy cinnamon roll still has my heart 🙃

Multiverse of Madness would have been so much more compelling if the big bad villain had been evil versions of strange. imagine 616 strange constantly fighting himself throughout the multiverse, versions of himself who try to steal America’s power to find a Christine or an ___ that they need. Just constant different versions of himself who have gone off the deep end. The character development 616 strange would have had to go through, to develop him as a full fledge character that would be so much more compelling to watch. Instead they took a woman who already lost everything, and came back from it, erased her entire character growth from her own show, and then just made her go through the same development all over again. What a waste of potential. Love the carrie moment though.

This scene hits so hard when you look back on it.
If you think about this scene on a deeper context, it relates to coming out, accepting who you are.
Amity’s confession here emphasizes on the fear and confusion you experience.
Emphasizes on the battle between your own identity and societal/familial expectations.
Emphasizes on how the world sucks, the inequality, and injustice, and reminds you that you’re a minority, How it’s not that easy for you. Like it is for heterosexuals.
There’s all these fearsome consequences and possibilities in your head that’s weighing you down. Weighing you down from accepting yourself.
And then Em says something so simple, something that makes it sound so easy.
“Is it so bad? You weren’t happy before.”
And it hits you. How easy it is.
Under all the fears, expectations and anxieties, it’s happiness that lays.
What you are, what this is, what you want, although foreign to the world, is the source to your happiness.
“Is it so bad?”
No, it’s not. The world makes it bad.
Girls liking girls is not bad. Boys liking boys isn’t bad. Identifying as a different gender isn’t bad. Transitioning between genders isn’t bad.
Different, but not bad.
“It’s not objective”.
“It doesn’t work.”
“Is it really worth it?”
Anything is worth it when it comes to happiness. Anything is worth it when it comes to being able to stop repressing, wearing a facade, and pretending to be someone you’re not just to appeal to societal and familial expectations.
Under the name of happiness, objectiveness is weak.
Under the name of happiness, homophobia is weak.
No amount of hate, objective expectations and societal standards should be able to compete with love and happiness.
And at the end of the day, you know what you want in the future. A basic human need.
Not respect or stability. Not being able to meet up with other’s expectations.
What you want is happiness.
And the first step to that is accepting yourself even with all the fear and confusion.
Why?
Because it makes you happy.
