Indians and Chinese people make up such a huge chunk of the planet and yet people in the west think it’s a radical idea to conceptualize them as human

I do find it incredibly tedious how "Trans woman engages with radical feminist text critically and brings her own perspective to address the flaws and see what useful ideas are contained in them" is framed as some sort of self-irradiation with TERF Particles and not like. Basic intellectual rigor
You can filter bad and good ideas in an intellectual work by engaging with it critically! That is a thing you are expected to do in every academic field!! Trans/Rad/Fem explicitly examines how rejection of trans issues has acted as a failure point of radical feminism!!! That is a significant part of the purpose of the book and when you act as if this is some evil, irredeemable exercise you are doing anti-intellectualism!!!! That is a huge red flag for reactionary thought!
Imagine doing this with anything else. You can't work with Kepler's laws of planetary motion. Why? Because they're inaccurate for the motion of Mercury, and presumably if you think about Kepler's laws for even a second you will become infected and turn into a General Relativity Denier.

You can be talking to someone and she'll be like, "Oh I made a silly mistake. Women don't deserve voting rights teehee." And you'll be like, "What." And she'll be like, "Oh I'm sorry! That must sound so bad out of context. No it's this Tiktok meme where, if you're a girl and you do something dumb, you say 'Women don't deserve voting rights teehee.'"
And you'll be like, "That sounds bad." And she'll be like, "No no. It's totally not that bad. It's just a meme. Men say it too. Like if a man does something silly he'll be like, 'I am like those women who do not deserve to vote.'" And you'll be like, "Does that make it better?" And she'll be like, "Well there was one guy who tried to make 'Men shouldn't vote' a popular meme. But it never caught on and also he got yelled at a lot."
And then you drop it there because like, you're harshing the vibe.

I’ve noticed this phenomenon where women in online circles are held to a much higher standard of politics and ethics because of this weird like benevolently sexist idea that we’re easier to teach and/or have more compassion meanwhile nobody bothers with men because terrible behavior is expected of them or they’re just too far gone in a lot of peoples eyes which. Hate

Re: whoever wrote this really hates women, what are some of the more frequent red flags you've seen?
Okay so this was based specifically off of reading a fic where two different canon female love interests were written off as "cheating bitches" despite neither of them being unfaithful to the male love interest in canon, so...that, for one thing.
A non-exhaustive list of things that make me think the author really doesn't like women that much:
Women regularly being described using derogatory language (bitch, slut, etc)
Major female romantic rivals being written off as cheating, abuse, gold-diggers in an out of character way (for fics)
Female characters being described as shrill, hysterical, etc
Male characters being written in negative ways by giving them traditionally/stereotypically feminine traits (e.g., overly submissive, especially to an "overly assertive" female character)
Transmisogyny
Fridging female characters
Relationships between two women (usually two cis women, when genitals are relevant to the conversation) being erased or existing only as an afterthought while m/m relationships are a major focus
Female characters being derided or "getting their comeuppance" for being popular, being attractive and aware of the fact that they're attractive, liking/caring about fashion, being "overly" interested in men, etc
"Not like other girls" narratives
Erotic descriptions of women's dead bodies

why is it every time i see a post pointing out fandom misogyny there's always someone in the replies going "actually i only pay attention to male characters and m/m ships because im gay". you know being gay doesn't exempt you from misogyny right? like you know that?

fandom will see a female character with the most interesting backstory and inner turmoil in the entire media and be like “…anyways. where’s the closest man we can pretend has the exact problems she has”

Any attempt to "defend" liking villains without placing it in the proper context - of criticism of villains and villain fandom arising BECAUSE fandom will ONLY stan, woobify, or apologize for villains when they are WHITE MEN while ALSO villainizing, bashing, or erasing HEROIC CHARACTERS OF COLOR or holding FEMALE CHARACTERS to likewise unfair standards (sometimes transplanting whole story/personality elements of characters of color / female characters ONTO their white villain faves to explain why they're "sympathetic" WHILE ALSO denigrating the CoCs/FCs for the exact same traits) - is blatant whitewashing of the issues at hand.
You are ALLOWED to have villainous faves! It's the DOUBLE STANDARD that's the problem!! Anyone who tells you different is a moralistic twit or someone trying to brush their racism/misogyny under the rug of "let women enjoy things!" Don't fall for it!!
