Went to see my friend Hussein Namer play a solo show at Toby’s Pub on commercial this week! It was a cool venue for this kind of show because it had a cool two level open concept. Me and my friend sat in a nice booth on the upper level and had a great venue of the stage! Check him out at husseinelnamer.bandcamp.com and check out his band A Name Unheard at anameunheard.bandcamp.com

Bison BC - The Biltmore, Vancouver. This was my first time seeing Bison, I’ve heard a lot about them but have never actually listened to their music. I have to say I am glad I finally just went and checked them out because it was great! The fact that I wasn’t super into the opener made there set so much more impressive. I definitely had higher then normal expectations going in because 1) as I said I had heard a lot of good things and 2) the Biltmore was pretty full (which isn’t always common for live music in Vancouver) but I must say they did meet my expectations and I had a great time!

So I seen Monster Truck last week at a private "guest list" only show! Even though I went alone it was one of the best shows I have been to in a while! Great band, just all around from vocals to timing, super tight. I would highly recommend going to see them if you have then opportunity! Oh and did I mention this was the day after they just won a Juno!!
