Nickelodeon Ridiculousness Pt. 2
Jennette, I have finished reading the book. I didn't want to stop reading. Every time that I would turn the page and be like alright, I'm going to finish this chapter then end of chapter came, and then more chapters, next thing I know I've read for roughly 2 hours straight, not even wanting to put it down then. Girl, you are strong. Everything that you put up with and everything you had to deal with. When your mom passed you had no idea about so many things because she always pushed her idea of what she would have been on you. You wanting to see her smile because of something that you did. Wanting to fix your family's financial problems. I know that you love your mom, and I mean no disrespect regardless. That also shows me a lot about how your mom was raised. Once I started reading about your grandmother and how she did all of that manipulation to get her way I was like yup just as I wondered. Being a parent is so hard, but there is a huge part of being a parent that isn't that hard. Having unconditional love for your children. Your grandmothers love for your mother was dependent on how she succeeded the same way your mom was with you. Conditional love like that always comes at a price, a price that the kids and others around them suffer. For that, I am very sorry that you went through all of that as a child. My own personal experiences have involved some conditional and unconditional love I would love to hang out with you at any point in time. I was wanting to know if you have had any further communication with your biological father. You deserved so much more, and just to be listened to. Cannot wait to see what you write next if you plan on continuing the writers' adventures. I wish you the best in life, you are an amazing person.
Dan Schneider is suing the producers of the 'Quiet on Set' documentary that brought out lots of talk about how really working with Nickleodeon was for a handful of child stars from Schneiders past shows (All That, Josh and Drake, All That Reboot, The Amanda Show, Sam and Cat, iCarly, etc.). He claims that he was defamed making it seem like he was in on or knew about what Brian Peck, Jason Handy guy, or the other guy.
Schneider said in a statement, "I have no objection to anyone highlighting my failures as a boss, but it is wrong to mislead millions of people to the false conclusion that I was in any way involved in heinous acts like those committed by child predators." (I got this statement from The Tennessean Jordan Green of Memphis Commercial Appeal)
There is also talk about there being an executive that had a lot if not all to do with getting Dan Schneider hired on at Nickelodeon. I want to continue to see what comes about with this Executive individual who also had strange behavior around some child stars. Going to do more diving into this Executive situation.
From my point of view watching the 'Quiet On Set' Documentary, was that this man made a very unsafe environment for children to be working in. He may not have flat out done things with...(which there is rumor that he possibly got a child star pregnant and made her get an abortion.) He had employees that were SA 'rs(even if he didn't know. There wasn't an extensive background check), yet as long as guardians are on property they didn't have to perform background checks on employees. My mind cannot figure where the logic in that was. That never seemed suspicious to anyone as to why people actively working with children of different ages didn't need some more looking into them. He put very innuendo sexual references in many of his shows, shows that were made for kids. I understand there is innuendo in a lot of things, and rewatching a lot of my childhood shows, and I was like I can't believe these things were in these shows. At the age I was watching these shows, I didn't see them that way. Dan Schneider made a similar remark about the jokes in the show. Not exact wording, he stated that the kids seen them as funny. They didn't know it was a bad thing then. What does that say about the environment? Were the shows meant for kids, or for adults?
If someone higher up did push for Dan to be hired at Nickleodeon, was his intentions to groom employees and child stars? So many questions unanswered and the more that comes out the more pieces to this puzzle pop up. The truth needs to get all out there so appropriate changes can be made to better protect all people in the industry writers, men, women, actors (all ages), coaches, directors, etc.
I guess with all of the NDA's going around being signed all of the time now. (my personal opinion NDA = Noone Deserves Answers). NDA's are to protect a person with confidential information and any others that have access to said information. One or both parties have a task to make sure they do not share the information outside of the ones involved. Especially privacy related, dependent on the company. I can totally understand how companies need to protect themselves from people who doesn't care what they say or anything. The problem is, when something very serious (example. the Nickleodeon situation, obviously) happens that definitely needs taken care of, there shouldn't be any document that stops a child or adult to speak on things that were done wrong to them regardless of NDA's. The studio is only worried about protecting themselves in the matter. You can find other producers, writers, directors, adults any and all day long. Children are the future for all of us currently in adulthood. Why hurt kids, they are the innocent in all of this.
This isn't the end of it, new things whether the truth or not will probably come to light. More to come. Thinking about renaming it from Nickelodeon ridiculousness to NDA=Noone Deserves Answers

Nickelodeon Ridiculousness Pt 1
Quiet on Set Dark Side of Kids TV Pt 1
All I hear in my head is Kel singing " Who loves orange soda, Kel loves orange soda, I do, I do, I dooooo!" I would watch Kenan and Kel, All That, The Amanda Show, and many other shows throughout my childhood. I wanted to be them, laughing, live acting, getting to be around other kids their age and relate with, go through certain life moments with. Having others around that you could relate to. I envied them, I wanted to be them. Never did I think they would have to endure so much abuse of different forms verbal, physical, emotional, and even sexual. These are things everyday non famous kids go through, the famous kids are surrounded by adults, they should be the most protected/loved kids in the world.
After watching the 4 episodes first released, I have felt so bad for them. They suffered at the hands of adults that were suppose to be there and protect them. How they were able to separate the parents and the kids. Putting the actors/actresses against their parents. All of the narcissistic attitudes of the jackass/asses in charge. People should never have that much power over any other person. Some of the parents. The Jackass in charge should never of been alone with any of the stars.
Seeing how Jackass would tell people they were the token black person, fat one, skinny one, funny one. What kind of ridiculousness is this? That should never be ok in any atmosphere. There should of had just as many women in the industry as men. That would have evened things out, but Jackass is a sexist prick who deserves every bit of what he has coming his way. You do not go through life hurting innocent children who look to you for guidance because you are the creator of the shows that the actors/actresses are in. The Jack of all asses.
Having 3 pedophiles working around these kids at the same time is a disgrace. Shouldn't they be seriously checked out before being trusted around all of these people that they really don't know. Kids only know what adults tell them, and they are being told go with these people to work with them. I mean come on child crimes were happening way before this time period. John Wayne Gacy targeted young guys/boys throughout his killing spree. So it wasn't unheard of at that time. Why wasn't the company behind the main Jackass checking all of their employees out? There was 1 of the 3 sickos they didn't really say a whole lot about other than the fact that he was a pedophile. I don't know if there may have been more there or not. Maybe he was a pedophile, but he didn't do anything to anyone or wasn't suspected of it. They went on about the Handy guy, and the Peck guy.
I am still intrigued, and have hit a wall about the Brandi situation. She didn't interview at all (I can completely understand not wanting to be seen after all of these years). I didn't notice her mom really talking about Brandi in a past tense, so I don't think that she has passed away. There has been talk that Brandi is actually just a random name they used. I can totally get her not wanting to deal with all of what is going on. To find out that Handy had a souvenir from her, a pair of her underwear, broke my heart. I have looked into Brandi and whether or not that is a fake name or not. My research has led me to believe that is probably a fake name. I also believe that she was either taken off of the credits for All That, or maybe was never put on the official credit cast list. I hope that she has healed, moved on, and living her best life. I am still wanting to learn more about this situation.
Amanda Bynes is like a comedic chameleon in her All That, The Amanda Show days. She had so much more she could have done with her life. She didn't deserve the crap that she went through. After watching all of the episodes, I started my research rabbit hole, finding lots of rumors about very personal horrible things. (If these are facts, I am terribly sorry for what you suffered.) Your parents I cannot believe the shit they did. I am sorry that you had to ever deal with that trauma. I checked into Amanda for awhile and I feel terrible for how I didn't really recognize her at first. I still think that she is beautiful either look. I commend you for pushing forward through everything. She is trying to live as normal of a life as she can. I would love to be friends with her. She seems like she would be a badass chick to hang with. Yo, Amanda Bynes, I would love to just hang out big chill go do some fun stuff. Just be normal people hanging out having fun. I look past a lot of things, I have my fair share of past traumas, including some similar ones to what some of the stars went through.
Drake Bell, not gonna lie, when I seen you as the surfer guy on the Amanda Show for the first time, I actually thought you were the Josh character from All That. You have so many musical talents. The instruments you can play, your voice. The fact you can sound smooth and then add a roughness. I am sorry for all that you went through in your lifetime. When watching the show and I watched your dad say Don't let Drake be alone with him ever, my heart dropped. I could not believe that they made him out to be a homophobic person. I hate that Brian was able to convince your mom that it was better for you to be with him because of the travel. That was a moment when you just be like Noooo don't do that, its not safe. The moment where you wish that you could just stop if from the other side of the TV, but you can't. It isn't a dream or a bad commercial that will eventually go away. It is a scar, that people who have been hurt like that have. Your scar is there, it is very well seen through this documentary. I am grateful for you sharing what you went through, for the hope that no one else in the child actor part of the entertainment industry will ever have to go through this again. I hope that with you sharing, going into to treatment, that you can again freely live and be at a more peaceful healed place in your life. Thank you to the mom of the girlfriend who knew in seconds that something was wrong. According to a tiktoker and his research about who the mystery girlfriend was that the mom helped. Drake and Fefe Dobson had been best friends. Fefe Dobson released a song "Man Meets Boy" it is very sad, and clearly is about someone being abused. Considering they were so close it does make sense that in fact that is the person who saved Drake from further abuse.
Jennette McCurdy, girl you are beautimus as you are. During my rabbit hole search, your book was brought to my attention. I have had it for less than a week and am in the 40s on the chapter. I am sorry that you were done so wrong by your mother as well as the Jack of all Jackasses. You are very brave for putting your experiences out there for anyone and everyone that can or want to read. Showing that stardom from childhood can have a huge affect on the childs upbringing. Your mother was living vicariously through you. You didn't deserve to have her dreams pushed on you. I feel that the parents doing that is a bigger number than it should be. I haven't been able to finish it due to extra busy weeks. I will be finishing the book as soon as I can, and will chime in more as well.
(This is based on what I have read, watched, heard through different media sources. Google, ID Channel, TikTok, and Reddit.)
Anyone who takes the time and reads this, Thank you!

Friday Night
This Friday night I am spending time with my family....enjoying my husband and children and even the doggies lol.
I have had some thoughts...What is Friday nights like for most people? Tonight I'm home with my bunch. most Friday nights we are out and about for a little while visiting family maybe go out to eat. Do things together.
I remember when Friday nights were friends coming over or going over to a friends house listening to music...going out on the town cruising, jamming listening to music...goofing off having a good time with not a worry in the world. I do reminisce of my younger days of going out with friends.
I also loving being with my little family and doing things with them. I wouldn't trade my life for all of the free nights with no worries in the world. I'm just saying that I do not regret goofing off with my friends.
I'm thinking about finishing up the hat I've been crocheting and working on for a little while now. I could've had it finished in one day but I take my time and i do other projects as well. Getting ready for school to start again.
My friend and I were getting our nails done and the lady doing her nails asked her why I is always capitalized no matter where it is in a sentence...that is a good question. I do not remember lol. My friend then turned to me and asked me and I told her that I thought that it was maybe because I is important like a proper noun. We capitalize the days of the week peoples names no matter where they are in sentences so that's where my reasoning came from. Chime in if you know.
Having a start to the weekend!!!!
