Ian Gallagher is taken by Vivy

Ian was raised by his sister Fiona with help from his eldest brother Lip. His mother Monica was not around most of his childhood but his father Frank would occasionally pop in and out whenever he needed. This caused issues in the family dynamic and made Ian a little closed off to the ideas of m true love and happy endings. Despite the traumatic way his family functioned Ian showed all of the star qualities to be a straight a, law abiding citizen with a promising future. He was ambitious and goal oriented when it came to education, health and work. Ian was apart of ROTC, and over achiever in school and even held a job to help pay for things back home. Though he had all of these successes and paths to greatness, Ian still failed to make the right choices. He stole his brother Lips identity and decided to cut school and join the army. After have a mental break there he went on the run and eventually found himself back in the south side. He was later picked up and diagnosed with manic bipolar disorder.

Ian phased between having his disorder under control and not having it under control at all. He faced many challenges over his young adult life, most of them learning the proper way to take care of himself without needing anyone there to tell him to. After the off-again on-again relationship with Mickey Milkovich Ian could finally say he knew what love truly was, though it took him a long time to come to this conclusion. Ian and Mickey got married and started their life together but mickeys constant taste for danger sometimes threatens Ian’s battle with Manic Bipolar disorder. The two of them are bad for each other, and good for each other at the same time. Ian needs Mickey more than he lets off, since Mickey was the one there for him pushing him to overcome his weaknesses. Mickey has been a constant reminder in Ian’s life that he hadn’t had the best understanding of what love what as a kid—but now as a married man, he is fully aware what love can do. Even if it tests your mental health from time to time.

Mickey grew up on the south side of Chicago with a father and mother, until the age of 10 when his mother left the family leaving Mickey to be raised by his homophobic father Terry. Mickey discovered he was a homosexual at the age of 13 years old but buried deep considering his relationship with his father, and knowing how Terry felt about it causing Mickey to deal with internalized homophobia. Terry was ran a crime ring, so most of mickeys life he spent running, dealing or causing trouble making it next to impossible to stay out of prison. When Mickey and Ian got together the first time Mickey begins to come out of his shell and open up to Ian. Over the years Mickey learns to be overcome some of his self-hate ways but has a hard time dropping the petty theft and crime he grew up knowing so well.

As an adult Mickey is still just as reckless and careless as he was in his teens. The Milkovich way never strays far from his lifestyle keeping him in and out of trouble though he had tried to stay on the straight and narrow as request from his husband. This causes quite a bit of friction in his marriage with Ian who only wants to live a normal and non-dangerous lifestyle. The two of them seem to balance each other out on almost every topic when it comes to marriage but the wild dark haired man still tends to be a bad influence on his husband from time to time, getting him to follow along on his wacky schemes. Though Mickey wouldn’t admit it, he is content in his life with Ian and would want anything to jeopardize what they have. Even if that mean carrying around and air soft pistol versus an actual dangerous weapon.
