the first time I got my face painted was my act of surrender to whatever was going to happen that weekend. I'd normally be way too cool to do that; it just wasn't my thing. it was my first trip to #campgrounded and I wanted to be as open to the experience as I possibly could. face paint was an act of breaking down of that wall. now, almost two years later, this crew always has the supplies. I love the intimacy of those moments between artist and canvas; I like to think I captured it here. #vscocam

this is a tiny snapshot of a perfect weekend with consisted of drinks with great people, surfing, and the most beautiful wedding. I was preoccupied for most of Saturday and was only able to snap this picture on Friday afternoon. I can't imagine a better pair of people to send off into marriage; I admire them as a couple and as individuals, I'm humbled by their gratitude and graciousness, I look to them for guidance and they push me to be better.
