Ford, you good there? Glad nothing got you, but I hope you're not dealing with anything too hectic.
Regarding my in-laws, once I move it will be minimal contact, I'm sure. Now it's just a matter of counting down the days.
As for my makeup, it was a viking-inspired look, which was an interesting exercise. It is far from my best work, but I've had a mental block with makeup and it's been difficult to finish anything.
Regarding the art - yes, it's a little Mothboi! The phrase next to it is how I've been signing the handwritten notes that go out with some products during the pandemic. I might make a few gay pride variations, and even one with a galaxy design on the underside of the wing-cape.
The fungi theory sounds like it makes sense, if it doesn't erode in the slime's gunk.
I can definitely see the viking inspiration. Is there shimmer on your lips?
The Mothboi is cute. I would also personally advocate for the galaxy design, but I will say I wouldn’t do so free of personal bias.
And nothing hectic. I was just trying a ‘method’ to fix the typo on that earlier message.
I’m pretty sure about that particular theory for the fungi. I’m less sure about how much it has been moving.

ye i've been sleeping alright, fewer bad dreams than usual too which is a plus 👍 def staying up too late tho which i'm sure doesn't help haha, it's hard for me to put myself to bed once i get really into working on something, i'm sure you know the feeling ^^
I do.
I suppose I can’t really emphasize going to bed at a proper time, when I still don’t entirely maintain the most straightforward sleeping schedule. (Although my sleeping schedule has gotten much better in this past year.)
How have those recent ‘projects’ you mentioned to me before been going?

accidentally post that last message mid-sentence or did the fungi/slimes getcha? (either way, rip)
... No, nothing got me. One moment.

Ford! Nice to see you online!
My week was full of ups and downs - the downs including some frustrating and admittedly hurtful interactions with my in-laws, and the ups including getting my driver's test scheduled (it's Monday) , finishing almost 70 orders in one night, completing a makeup look I'm relatively proud of, and (most recently, as in... an hour ago) finishing my first piece of digital art for a sticker for my store! Here's a picture!
What's your theory on the fungi?
Oh! Well good luck on your test. I am sorry to hear about the encounter though and hope you at least don't see them that often.
The art is cute. I'm assuming it's a moth, yes? And at that a mothman considering the store.
What was the makeup look?
As for the fungi, I swear it has moved from the spot I last saw it in before so my primary theory is that its mocking me. My secondary and arguably more rational theory is that the slight movements it has made has just been from a fungi reacting to stimuli as any fungi or plant does. Either way, the fungi seems to have adapted to not erode from the slimes since they both thrive in the same environment, and not a single acidic thing in this house had any effect on it.

oh big ouch for your burns, you okay? what kind of anomaly was it? D: things have been pretty uneventful on my end lol, been feeling just kinda worn out in general but i've been working on art these past few nights and it feels good to make some progress there!
A slime, and genuinely when I say minor, I mean minor.
I am sorry to hear about that. Well, not the progress, obviously. Have you been sleeping alright?

heya ford, how's your week been?
It’s been a good week. Calm, productive, and nothing worse to show for encountering one or two new anomalies besides some very minor acid burns.
How has your week been?

Hey Ford, how are you doing? Get into anything interesting this week?
Hello, Tato. I’m doing fine, and yes.
When, it was raining earlier this week I found some slime-like creatures, fairly small, brownish blobs that I initially mistook as some mud. It gradually consumes anything that enters its mass and over time seems to grow over size, occasionally splitting. I took one home in a jar, but returned it again to see what it would do when the weather dried up. Turns out they squeeze themselves into the ground when it’s not raining. Oddly enough there was a shelf fungi that didn’t dissolve in the slime when everything else had over the couple of days and I have a few suspicions about that.
How was your week? Aside from learning how to parallel park, I see.

To be fair, it's 9:30 on my end - not nearly as ominous. Also, tell Fiddleford I said ghosts aren't as cool, talkative or cute as me. At least not the ghosts on my end. And if ghosts on your end ARE this rad, feel free to send them over when you figure out dimensional capsules.
You are rather cute. And every single one of you is more talkative than nearly every ghost I’ve met.
I’ll keep you all in mind if I meet any cool ghosts that stick around for long enough for me to know them. And I’ll be sure to forward the message to Fiddleford.

Evening, Ford! Hope things are going well on your end -- I'm spending the night working on my fanfiction again. XD I haven't seen any cartoons recently, but my dad's been watching a live-action superhero show called The Flash recently. It's about a hero with superspeed, and the technology the show uses is able to show him moving quickly as a red streak of light, with lightning as an added effect! It's based on a comic book character in our dimension, one that I happen to be a fan of, so I've been enjoying what I've been seeing so far.
Good evening. :)
Funnily enough, we have a similar comic book character, though his name was Lickety Split.

aw you remembered my series :'D but yeah uhhh college wise, i realized itd be online only since i cant really drive there yet and online only isnt...Quite my style of learning to say the least. so thatll have to wait...ah well! and yeah animated series in this time can be rather mature! its great
Learning entirely over technology doesn’t sound appealing, though, I understand of course, technology has advanced past what I currently see.
I’m guessing the driving may have something to do with the pandemic.

Haha that sounds like a rad way to spend your evening. Well you're in luck, because i hear all the the most informative and coolest prototype-based interdimensional communication happens on around this time with people from alternate Earths in the year 2021 ;)
As for ppl beating you to the punch on your project, I don't now enough about what you're working on to be sure, but also we're all (for the most part) 20-somethings in an writerly different dimension who spend too much time watching cartoons on the internet, so... like, i can't speak for everyone, but I almost burned my SOUP this afternoon, so I'm not sure how much of a intellectual-property-theft threat I am. Unless your project is on efficiently distributing keychains - I'll steal the fuck outta that idea, pls and thanks /light-hearted
Around midnight, hm. An awfully suspicious time, ha.
You know, Fiddleford really did believe that you all might have just been some spirit haunting his invention. He wasn’t too happy about the idea, ha. :] Truth be told, I think he still can’t fully let go of the idea that this thing is haunted by something.
Not that I’m criticizing him. That was something I considered early on before I was able to confirm otherwise.

heyo ford! :D glad to hear that your works been going well. im just catching up on some shows myself and writing a bit. college stuff isnt really gonna work out which...well i cant say im too disappointed haha, but i'll figure something else out! and oy is sending stuff a pain x_x wont go thru on my end sometimes which is bothersome
Ah, Ace! I was just thinking about you and your animated story idea. Tato mentioned a current series and it made me think about your idea and what animated series are like in your time.
Did something happen?

Yeah, we saw an uptick in orders in June of 2020 and im hoping the trends repeat themselves. I'm still new at this whole "business owner" thing, tho, so who knows how the hell it's supposed to work, right? I'm kind of trying things and seeing what sticks, but it's been profitable so far, so I guess that's as good a strategy as any.
I wouldn't mind hearing some of the theoretical physics and ideas behind your project if you'd like to share (in layman's terms, I mean). And no pressure if you'd rather not say.
Regarding my coffee, who wouldn't prefer ice cream to bitter bean juice? /light-hearted. Honestly it's really the only dessert I partake in these days.
What are you up to tonight?
Well if you’re making money and you’re not scamming people then I’d say you’re doing a good job of it.
Nobody over there is familiar enough with the subjects to beat me to the punch with your advanced technology, are they?
The rest of tonight, I’ll be operating and testing a prototype of an advanced technology, using it for interdimensional communication. ;)

Our current D&D edition has class options of: barbarian, bard, cleric, druid, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, rogue, sorcerer, warlock, and wizard — and then artificer (magic item specialist) was added a few years later. We can start out as any one of those 13, and after reaching a certain level, pick a subclass (for example, wizards can branch out into the illusion magic school, necromancy magic school, etc). We can also multiclass by gaining levels in multiple classes on the same character!
Well, maybe, it shouldn’t be a surprise, but our games do seem pretty similar so far!
Hell, I wonder if it really will turn out to be nearly identical games.

so glad to hear you've been having a good week!! as for my car trouble, it's just that i can't roll the windows down lol (the battery died back at the end of last year and i think a fuse blew while we were trying to jump it) so not a huge problem, but one i'm looking forward to finally having fixed ^^
Hmm. Well in the meantime, have you considered a crowbar.
(Do not seriously consider a crowbar).

The show follows a young girl who moves into a city interspersed with fantasy elements after living her life in the wilderness, as she tries to fit in with her new environment. Surprisingly, the show also tackles themes like colonialism and police brutality. It's pretty neat so far.
And yes, I like my coffee very sweet. Frankly, more cream and sugar in the mug than coffee. I also prefer iced coffee, which isn't too surprising, given the Phoenix weather (we're consistently past 90 degrees f these days).
As for the store, it's going well, for the most part. It's slowed down some, and I'm a little anxious about that, but I'm kicking off more advertisements soon, so hopefully that works. I also imagine orders will pick up during June, when there are a lot of LGBTQ pride festivals.
So what have you been working on?
The usual suspect. It’s a shame I won’t have anything substantial to show everyone for it for a while. Well, unless anyone is interested in some of the theoretical physics of it.
The show sounds interesting, and perhaps a bit more intense than I would have guessed from an animated show.
You’re almost half way to ice cream like that, you know. /light-hearted.
It’s not far off from June now, only a little over a month. I suppose you’d know from last year when more orders for pride start coming in.
