Which of the brothers do you find most challenging to work with — and which one surprises you the most?

You anons do enjoy tough questions.

Each Tracy brother is different, and working with each of them comes with it's own set of highs and lows (although the highs far, far outweigh the lows).

If I had to pick one, I would have to say @scramjettracy (sorry Scott!). Unfortunately, he has a tendency to be reckless, and therefore is often reckless with equipment. Whilst other pieces of equipment or Thunderbirds have a track record of being broken more often (just look at TB4), these are often unavoidable. Whereas Scott has a higher track record of bringing home broken gadgets that possibly could've been saved. But even then, he's doing it to save lives, and people always come before technology. Also, Scott, like everyone else on the Island, gives me much needed feedback on all the gadgets I make, and I thoroughly enjoy working with him on Thunderbird 1. His input is invaluable.

(Also, his recklessness is, unfortunately, a Tracy special. There's plenty of equipment that ends up broken on my desk, even though it probably could've been saved, if just a little more care had been taken.)

As for which Tracy brother surprises me the most, I would say @realrocketboy / @thunderbird-3-best-bird . Even though he claims to hate studying, he's learning a lot and has come a long way. And, he often uses ideas from video games as suggestions for new gadgets. Whilst some of them may be implausible, there have been some really imaginative ideas that I've managed to adapt. This is a unique perspective that I really appreciate!

That being said, each of the brothers suprise me every day. I would go on to tell you why, but I can tell that this post is already quite long. Just know that I appreciate each and every one of them.

Out of all your inventions, which one are you secretly most proud of? Which Thunderbird gave you the biggest headache during the design process?

If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret, would it?

In all seriousness, I would have to say Zero-XL. The reason why I'm most proud of it should be fairly obvious. Besides, I always enjoy working alongside @iam-themechanic .

That's a tough one. I would probably say either Thunderbird 5 or Thunderbird 2. I've talked previously about how I completely redesigned Thunderbird 5 from scratch here. As for Thunderbird 2, it was difficult to build/design an aircraft that is both fast and capable of transporting equipment. I wanted to make her as big as possible so that she can transport as much equipment as possible, but it's also important that she can get to the site of emergency quickly. Balancing these two factors posed a challenge.

Trying to make the Thunderbirds less susceptible is actually something I've been working on for a while. Unfortunately, as I keep upgrading the Thunderbirds, others keep upgrading EMF generators. It is a never-ending battle.

I'm geared up, ready and waiting for the green light to launch. Brains is completing the last checks on Three while I type this. I'm honestly scared, I need to get all the way to Saturn, scoop some samples from its rings, then get home without getting swept away by meteor storms or other complications. I've never been that far out without my brothers.

Wow! That's a lot of questions!

Definitely pizza for breakfast. It's quick to eat and filling so I can get straight to work. I definitely had it for breakfast a lot at university.

I'd rather trip over my own feet. Unfortunately, unlike Virgil , not all of us are musically talented, and my atrocious singing is for my ears only (and MAX's).

Well, the answer to this one is obvious. I'd much rather spend time with Alan than Lemaire. Also, I definitely wouldn't call it baby sitting. It would be spending time with a friend.

Communication is pretty important for my job, and I would get annoyed using GIFs all the time, so I have to go with the sound effect option.

That's a tough one. Can it be a very large spoon? That's pointy?

I think you know the answer to that. Whilst I would not enjoy being under truth serum, unlike Fischler, Kayo doesn't make me want to slam my head into a wall.

I hate Zero-gravity, so I'd rather be stuck with Gordon. He'd have to get tired of sea shanties eventually.

I'd say Virgil's flannel is slightly more my style, and I'm not sure pink is my colour.

I'm not sure it's possible for me to have a dance off with myself, but I'd much prefer that to karaoke.

I'm so sorry, Grandma Tracy, but I'm going to have to choose not to eat your cooking again.

I'd rather accidentally say, "I love you." If I said it, then there's a good chance I mean it, and there's nothing wrong with telling those important to you that you love them. Also, if I fell asleep in the pilot's seat, I'd probably end up dead.

I'd rather have FAB 1 yodel than TB2 moo, purely on the basis that I see TB2 every day.

Sorry, I’ve been kinda M.I.A for a while. Y’know, rescues come up, life comes up, it’s pretty manic.

Buuuuut anyway, I took myself off to one of my favourite music stores to get some replacement strings on my Violin. It’s a cozy little place in London, great acoustics if you’re an orchestral kind of person (not as great as the lounge though 😅).

Normally, I’d be with Virgil, because he likes to play on all the keyboards while I mess around with all the bases and violins.

And there she is, looking as fresh as ever, and sounding a little more lively. Ironically, she has the TB2 colour pallet for the peg threads. Crazy, right?

Val’s blog has been really difficult to post on, because she’s barely getting talked to. I’m running out of ideas on how to interact with the tumblr void. It’s a little frustrating since I’ve changed her so, so much just to have her fit in, I mean, 95% of her lore and what makes her *her* has been scrapped and changed just to make her fit in this thunderbirds rp community.

This isn’t trying to be a guilt trip, or a force on you to talk to her, it’s just a small explanation, just in case there was anyone wondering. As always, thank you so much for the support and advice. Back to Tracy shenanigans!!
