Hi anon! There are a lot of things I like about Shadow. Brains obviously didn't talk to me at first when designing her because she was a surprise, but he knows me very well so she has all kinds of features that I love and that are tailored to the way I like to fly as well as being equipped for the type of situations I always end up in.

I have talked about her before - someone asked what my favourite feature of hers is (I said her cloaking tech because it's still ridiculously cool to me and comes in handy all the time). But one feature I really like that no one knows about are her cup holders. They're the handiest things in the world. Brains designed them to hold cups in place and keep them from spilling even when I'm doing some pretty intense flying. I've done barrel rolls with drinks in the cup holder and nothing's ever spilled. It's great because if I want to pick up a hot drink after a rescue (I like having coffee sometimes after the drama's over, sue me) I can - and I can take it back to the island and have it there if I want. There's even a feature that keeps the drink at the right temperature, whether it's hot or cold, till I take it out again.

Fluff question. You guys seem to like fun...do you cut loose at parties (when you have time to go to parties)and dance like no one's watching? Who is the most surprising dancer with the smoothest moves? Could it be John? Is it scramjet Shakira tracy? Is it you?

Virgil naturally can dance because all that art isn’t contained to just his brain. Plus, that falls firmly in our ‘best Tracy husband material offering’ assessment.

John’s absolutely the dark horse though, despite being all space-uncoordinated. Reckon he could cut a tango in zero G like a pro.

Shakira Tracy is well renowned for his expert Macarena with a level of hip action that it has never included before. In fact - that’s most dances.

@thunderbird-shadow claims not to dance but I have footage to the contrary and lemme tell ya, it’s deadly 😏

Alan is… well, it’s something, that’s for sure. I’m not sure he dances with the music, it’s more of a battle against it…

Yet to successful achieve @brains-ir boogieing on down. Work in progress.

Also convinced @iam-themechanic could cut some good shapes on the dance floor.

Me, on the other hand... I've finally found the time to get out of the lab this week and seem to immediately have caught whatever you and Alan had. 😑

Should you be on a rescue if you are still unwell?

Unwell is a state of mind, Anon yesterday me does not agree but here we are.

Substantially less unwell when there’s lives at stake that have asked us for help. In that scenario, being unwell needs to wait for a bit, y’know?

Fever vs the fabled Tracy tenacity? It stood no chance 💪🏻 Alongside a couple of paracetamol, some throat lozengers and a sports drink.

And I kept my helmet on, before anyone starts, so no sneezing on anyone 🙂‍↔️

A quiet day on the island today, so much so that Scott took Alan to England for the day.

In the meantime, I was able to finish the repairs to Thunderbird 3, after it's run in with Haley's Comet.

Ever since MAX helped Grandma Tracy bake that apple pie a while ago, he's been keen to try baking new things. Because we had the time today, he had a go at a lemon drizzle whilst I spent time with Kayo. She's trying to convince me to join her in the gym to practice self-defense. I'm not sure how long I've got until I run out of excuses.

I realise that this is turning into a diary instead of a report, but I guess I don't have much to report on.

I can tell you I plan on kidnapping @brains-ir and taking him with me to help me but shh he doesn’t know that yet.

It’s in support of my Masters, and about the project we did looking at the impact of ultrasonar on the behaviours of cetaceans of the Pacific. We’ve got a lot of he spiral data, and also looking at how we can improving monitoring and use around sensitive areas - breeding grounds, migratory tracks etc.

tl;dr How badly are we pissing off the whales and dolphins with our squeaky noises (badly is the answer 😩) and what are we gonna do about it?

And I got a specially selected new shirt lined up for it 😂

If the actual metal is damaged, it could be dangerous. Thunderbird 3 is covered in a very important heat shield, and if it's damaged, it could risk the life of the pilot upon re-entry to the Earth's atmosphere.

I suppose... If it's only the paint that's damaged, Alan and Brandon can just repaint it.
