The thing is, if F1 media approached interview questions around mentality with him in the right way, they could probably get insightful answers like this one because it's obviously something he gives a lot of thought. But instead they try to use it to imply that he's weak and miss the point exactly.

q: you know what he says? he says he's a full time gamer, part time formula one driver. rh: i tell you what, i was talking to him about this earlier. it never ceases to amaze me. i've been to the f1 races, and you walk by the paddock club walking, you see the cars, and you think about it, they're driving hundreds of miles an hour through these turns and ups and downs with other people on the track that you have to avoid and have 30 buttons on a steering wheel. each one does a different thing with a switch that can change what they do. i cannot fathom how anyone can focus on all of those things at once and still maintain any grip on what's happening outside the car (SAMEEEEEEE) but it's a testament to, again, when you are at the top of your game, the amount of time he takes to practice at this, the amount of time he takes to practice at all the magic tricks. i mean, walking across the thames is insane. i mean, who in their right mind would think to do that? but you see that and nobody knows what's happening. you see him walking across and you're like, oh my god. and these gamers are the exact same level of skill, the time, the effort they put in, the hours that they put in. i mean, some of these gamers are doing 450, 500 actions per minute on a keyboard and mouse, which is superhuman. they've been doing this for hours on end. and it's just nice to see them get their time in the limelight, in the spotlight, the same way everyone else that's at the top of their craft gets that opportunity. and that i think is something that i think we've done very well here. q: it's a platform that deserved for sure. i loved your reaction as well to his royal highness describing what you do for a job (to lando) that was absolutely gold. you were just drawn in there going up and down. up and down got me a little bit. rh: well, we were talking about the gandia track, which is about it. lando: that will be up and down.
