End of Project Assessment All systems go
Unit 1
Throughout this project we have me made many outcomes using software such as Photoshop,Illustrator and In-design. However i have found certain software programmes were easier to use than others such as Illustrator as the tools were easier to use and i was familiar with them. We have also been doing practical skills like printmaking, drawing and have used different techniques. Some of the things we have learnt from doing these tasks is that we have learnt new skills to look upon or re use in future activities and the outcomes have been really fun. For example our final outcomes such as our magazine covers, our polygonal art and our zine stickers were the outcomes i really enjoyed doing the most in this project. The processes i have used from making these outcomes are photo manipulation which is were you manipulate the picture to give it an effect which i think looks really cool, also digital drawing which helped i like to draw and it has helped me use my skills by using a graphics tablet so what ever i draw comes up on the computer. The technical skills i have really worked well with from using the software was polygonal lasso tool which is used in Photoshop which allows you to go around an image and select what you want and then use that image as many times as u want. My favourite outcome was when we made the Trainer marketing posters which was making posters with our own name brand and board designs.
This is the final outcome of the Trainer marketing posters and i really enjoyed making. These outcomes were made in Photoshop. The process of making this did take a while but after finishing this it was worth it
Unit 2
Throughout the outcomes each one has history behind it and has similar work as artists who have made this work. the research has really helped me with my work as i can evaluate my work and express my ideas better.

This is the work of Lynette Jackson who i done research on and enjoyed doing the work she has done. My outcome to this i thought turned out pretty good to this and i really enjoyed doing work similar to this.

Unit 3
In Sams lessons the drawing techniques we have learnt with Sam is learning drawing skills and drawing in different styles of art. I really like drawing and in Sams lessons i put my effort into it.
In the first lesson with Sam we were learning to draw Kawaii faces in Japanese art. However i did not enjoy doing this as it was the not the style of art i am in to.

These are my drawings of the Kawaii faces which are drawn in very different styles.Next time in future lessons i would like to look into comic drawing.
Unit 4
Throughout my course i have been behind catching up on blog posts but otherwise I feel my outcomes have been very successful and hope that i can reflect and express my ideas better from this project.
I can see that my blog work at first from my feedback on my first was poorly and needed to improve on but now i can see that i have made and major improvement and am happy with the work i am doing. However i do need to still improve on things when doing blog posts such as screenshots so i can show step by step of how my work has been produced and the tools i have used. My evaluation on my work at first was to improve on my blog posts and uploading more which i have improved on. This has also led to one to one discussions with my piers and staff as they have gave me good feedback to focus on so i can better on my work and improve which really helped.
For the project we made up a portfolio to present our work. i am happy with the work i have produced using the software digitally. My portfolio is standard with the work i have produced and happy to present. There are outcomes i have made in it and they are all done to my standard that I’m more than happy to present at the end of my first project. Some work i have produced that is in my portfolio is my trainer marketing posters and my zine stickers which in my opinion were the best and favourite outcomes.

Five of Cups Meaning
The Five of Cups meanning shows a man in a long black cloak looking down on three cups that have been knocked over shows symbolic of his disappointments and failures. Behind him stand two cups are standing up representing new opportunities and potential, but because he is focused on his losses (the over-turned cups), he misses the opportunities available to him.
In the background, a bridge crosses a large, flowing river and leads to the security of the castle or home on the opposite side of the riverbank if only he can move on from the over-turned cups. The bridge is a message to build a bridge and get over it.
Then underneath this picture is my attempt of the tarot card. to be honest I do like my tarot card but I could do better as there is not much on there. to improve on this I could have used similar images such as to add a castle in the background in the background and used to different colours.

Tarot Cards Research
The Tarot deck has 78 cards that was popular in Northern Italy during the 16th century. The cards of the Major Arcana usually represent issues in the life of the Querent. They are key principles core to human life, such as life and death, ethical dilemmas, spirituality, and interaction with other people. One can view the Major Arcana as spiritual chart that the Querent can use to plot their course as they make their journey through life and beyond. The Minor Arcana often deal with the mundane and superficial, and how the Querent reacts to them. However, when doing a reading the distinctions between Minor and Major often blur, as the cards interact with each other and paint a seamless picture of the Querent's life and influences.
The following Tarot card meanings are the interpretations I have been using for decades, evolving from years of experience and study. There are no "correct" or "right" interpretations of the cards, but these foundations should guide you towards the answers you seek.

Charles and Ray Eames House of Cards Research
Created in 1952, the most successful toy of Charles & Ray Eames is a series of cards printed with images, that could be built into three-dimensional structures. These creations have become a classic and cult object cherished by both children and adults. The little version is the original: 54 flexible playing cards.
Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important figures of twentieth-century design, their work spanning furniture and exhibition design, film-making and photography.
Charles and Ray Eames designed the House of Cards in 1952. The six slots on each card enables them to be fitted together to build structures of different shapes and sizes. The designers appreciation for the uncommon beauty of common things, especially when seen in unusual combinations, some cards are printed with photographs from the animal, mineral and vegetable kingdoms. Others are printed with images of textured or coloured surfaces, such as Victorian decoupage and marbled papers.

Polygonal Workshop
today we made a low polygonal animal using Photoshop.
1.we used an A3 sheet to work on .
2. we went on google/Pinterest to choose our animals to work on then copied and pasted onto the desktop to drag and upload onto Photoshop.
3.then we used the polygonal lasso tool to cut and shape the animal in half and duplicate the other half later.
4.we also used the polygonal lasso tool to make triangles over the animal to create the effect.
5.we then used average tool to blend the colours of the animal on the triangles.
6. once we were done we needed to duplicate our layer and then flip horizontally to look isometric by using edit and transform.
7.after we done that we added shadow to make better contrast.

Architecture - Digital collage
Today, you will be exploring further Photoshop skills. you will use architecture from the college to create abstract landscapes.
you will learn….
- how to use the polygonal lasso tool
- how to adjust colour using hue/saturation
- how to construct digital collages and consider scale and layers
- apply layer filters, shapes and type
This is my final outcome of the Architecture Digital collage. I really do like my outcome as the colours stand out and the shapes.
The work style i have gone with is Lynette Jackson who is an American artist who works like this.
I think what i have made goes well with her style of work and would like to do more of this in future.

Digital drawing/Magazine cover
These are my final outcome for the magazine covers. In my opinion i really like the way it has turned out with the colours and style.
To tools that i used was mainly the paint tool in Photoshop using a graphics tablet which really helped. Plus around the outline on most parts i used the pencil tool.
The style that we worked was based on the artists Hattie Stewart and Ana Strumpf who do similar work like this on fashion magazines.
In my opinion i think my work does go well with how their style is and really enjoyed doing work like this.

Quote/Song Lyric
in Mondays lesson we chose our favourite quote/song lyric. in my opinion I do not like this as is does not look good and looks rushed. the tools used to make this was mainly the brush, pencil, and type tool but this did not turn out well.
For future lessons my target will be to slow down on outcomes and do not rush to finish and i would like to redo this again and make it look a lot better.
