Heyyy!! Ty for replying to this dumb post i made loll but i love your input!! And the sister i was referring to is Lupita’s youngest sister who had Down syndrome who’s name i believe was Dulce. In Rebelde’s first season, she was a major character in Lupita’s story so it bothered me so much that Lupita had this amazing potential with such a progressive storyline in a Mexican novela where these topics are often overlooked, and what they do?? Complete write that character out and never mention anything about that side of her family again.

And honestly… i dislike the whole Lola storyline, she was a weirdo, and the writers were weirdos for writing in this 13 yr old amongst 16+ yr olds. But it’s a novela what can you expect lol.

Rebelde (2004) based on what i remember;

Lupita deserved BETTERRRRR!!!! Her storyline with her baby sister was so overlooked and eventually ditched. I would have loved to see lupita’s mom be humbled bc she was just awful. I honestly thought they were setting a good plot with Lupita having mommy issues and her having to live as a sister/mom but no. It was all ditched . She did have a great love story with santos though (fuck Nico he was terrible to her)

Vico was a great character and the writers were scared of her potential

Giovanni was so toxic probably as much as Diego but it was overlooked due to his background

Diego was also fucked but understandably so. He is what Ch*ck (Gossip Girl) wishes he was

Miguel was the most toxic of the three ngl, at least the other two owned up to their shit while Miguel pretended he was a good person (also Mia being 15 while Miguel was 18 is actually disgusting)

Roberta has so much depth and angst which was written and portrayed so well especially her relationship with her mother.

Mia deserved better relationship wise, yes Miguel got her out of so much shit but he treated her like shit. her relationship with her dad was portrayed well tho, daddy issues but the dad does care

The addition of random ass characters with storylines was so dumb like irdgaf abt Pilar and her posse

Also Luján bothered the shit outta me, like girly, not everything is abt you

Celina deserved jail (not fr) she was so manipulative and gaslighted everyone around her. I did hate how everyone treated her, even Roberta made really distasteful comments about her body. So i guess it’s written well in that aspect that her getting bullied led to her behavior

I’m sorry to the actress but Sabrina is so unattractive and looked thirty the whole time. They mentioned how ethereal she was but she looked like any normal girl on the street lmao. She also had a hideous personality so maybe it’s that

I love love LOVE the fact that support for Dair is starting to spread. I know I’ve said on here that Blair and Ch*ck deserve each other but only after Blair decided to marry him after all that bs. HOWEVER when Blair and Dan were dating, she herself said she felt like a strong woman and that their relationship was healthy. This shows that if the writers weren’t freaking cowards they would’ve ended up together (and if Dan wasn’t written to be gg ofc). But anyways FUCK CH*CK and Blair will always deserve better (if she only had better judgement)

Okay so as someone who watched The Vampire Diaries first, the Clark, Lana, Lex triangle is exactly like the Stefan, Elena, Damon love triangle. So Clark is def Stefan, with the ‘hero hair’, ‘ripper Stefan’ = “red kryptonite Clark” who are both pure at heart but awakened by external factors. Elena’s whole shtick was ‘damsel in distress’ which Lana has that down, both have become vampires and were the only ones given the cure, straight haired queens, both had irrelevant jock type blond boyfriends who they lowkey ended up ditching for the hero complex main guy (Stefan/Clark). NECKLACE that affects their s/o, Stefan with vervain and Clark with kryptonite. Then Lex is of course Damon, have that evil present already, bad boy with money complex, Mommy issues, all for brotherhood but did not gaf when it came to ‘getting the girl’. Tried to blame the good brother for the way they became (but we know evil was in them already). The whole tension between Damon and Elena and Lex and Lana, the will they won’t they, and both thinking about Stefan and Clark’s reaction.

Plus: Chloe lowkey reminds me of Caroline, kinda nosey, head over heels in love with Clark/Stefan, knowing they only have eyes for Lana/Elena. When Lana got with Lex, Elena with Damon, Chloe/Caroline tried to make them realize how weird the whole thing was. Lana and Elena’s responses being similar (this may be a reach since i feel like female friendships are represented this way in more tv shows but it’s still a similar aspect 🤓 loll)
