a really really annoying part of the "actually it makes more sense if he's transmasc" response to very obvious transfem characters is when the argument is "oh but he was forced to be a woman" (Bridget guilty gear, Gwyndolin etc) like people are just incapable of recognising that's a common transmisogynistic trope that shows up, because the idea of someone chosing to be like that is threatening to people so it's easier to make a character who was forced into it.
