Archer just kind of sat there in silence for a long moment. He didn't know how to explain all this to his mother, hell he was still wrapping his head around it all. He sighs softly and runs a hand through his hair. "They said it was just some severe cramps..." he turns a bit red in the face. "And they said sometimes people like me are born intersex and never knowing it due to the fact that while being both... one sex just presents more." he shrugs. "It's weird... I'm still trying to make sense of it myself."

"Oh jesus that's probably good then, Deputy Director Hill just generally likes to pretend I don't exist unless I do something she absolutely has to deal with." he chuckles. "Oh that's me, chivalrous as fuck..." he laughs now. He moves inside the cafe and walks up to stand in line. "So whatcha want handsome, my treat."

“Most of my interactions come through the Deputy Director, not the Director himself. I wouldn’t know what he says about you.” He smiled, walking in and holding the door open from the inside. “And they say chivalry is dead.”

"I work all the time." he shrugs. "That and people at work are kind of afraid me." he looks at the beer as he takes it. "You get used to it after a while." he smirks before taking a sip of the beer. He watches the other closely, curiously.

Steve chuckled, bashfully rubbing the back of his neck. “And still I wouldn’t get used to them.” Taken aback by his compliment, Steve pressed his lips together for a moment, not knowing what to say. “…okay, I will.”

"Nah I'm far from it... I'm just honest." he nods. He looks over at Steve when he asks about 'his story' and he pales just a little bit. "Sir there isn't anything you can't read in my file about me.." he bows his head and closes his eyes. "Besides I don't think you'd like me much after hearing about me."

"Thank you, you’re very kind." Smiling genuinely, Steve turned his upper half to face him properly. "I’m afraid I never had the chance to hear your story and, since I don’t think I’ll get to sleep anytime soon, right now is a perfect moment to do so."

Archer actually seems a little stunned by the gesture, still in shock of everything, but slowly arms wind around the other and he buries his face in Bucky's neck and kind of.... breaks down. He clings to the older male and sobs, trying to stop his body from letting him sink to the floor. "No I'm ugly and a monster and...." he lets out a breath. "... but I love you too..." he wheezed out.
