I'm so bored of faggots being relegated to the romance genre, like yes attraction is a substantial part of the queer experience but it isn't the sum of it. There are so many other facets of our lives that would lend themselves to other genres. Just imagine a gay crime drama about a thief that uses drag to disguise themself during a heist only for the authorities to mistake the suspect for a woman. Or even the mystery genre where we see the gay protagonist solve the mystery because their experience being closeted and lying about their identity gives them a knack for picking up on lies from those around them. Maybe a revenge thriller where we get to see some truly unparalleled queer rage unleashed from years of resentment that could make a great commentary about how homophobia can kill, literally. Like some hoe out there needs to shake the goddamn table because everything we have so far is not only white BUT STALE!
