What is a beta reader ?

A beta reader is a non-professional reader who reads a written work, generally fiction, with the intent of looking over the material to find and improve elements such as grammar and spelling, as well as suggestions to improve the story, its characters, or its setting.

How does this system works?

In the form linked below, beta readers have to complete a form. The list of beta readers will be posted in a few days.

When the list is posted, the writers will have to pick their top 3 among all the beta readers in another form (which will be posted with the list of beta readers). 

This will be on first come, first serve basis. Your 2nd and 3rd choice will be proposed to you if the first beta reader you chose is already busy. We will send out emails to the writer and the beta readers when they’re successfully paired.

RULES

Don’t talk about the fic on SNS.

Do not run away and drop your writer like a hot potato. Bear in mind, you’re their greatest supporters in this fest. Don’t go MIA, if you have a problem contact your writer and us. We’ll work something out !

But there will be a few rules and guidelines on how to prompt properly before you submit it. Read everything thoroughly, don't rush yourself. Prompting will end on 20/08. 

There is no limitation how many prompts one person can send. We encourage you to send a lot. We want a big variety of prompts to pique the writers' interest, an abundant of choices for them.

Always remember this fanfic fest is all about Kyungsoo, kyungsoo-centric is prefered. However we accept any kind of POV, but we do not encourage 1st POV. 

When prompting make sure you aren't giving too much details that might hindered the creativity of the writer or too vague that it's hard to interpret by them.

Kyungsoo is more than just having a cute face, make him slutty and include BDSM theme. (This is too general! Add more elements to what kind of fic do you want. Make it different, because there will be a bunch of prompts wanting the same things)

Kyungsoo is a hit-man who works for Chanyeol in his illegal business of narcs. Kyungsoo develops feelings towards Chanyeol throughout the year. In the same time he is fearing for his and Chanyeol’s life because of what they're doing in life. Kyungsoo wanted to run away and plans to destroy Chanyeol's empire, so that he can escapte with Chanyeol to somewhere safe. But that won't be easy for him as Chanyeol is stubborn and oblivious towards Kyungsoo's feelings. Kyungsoo cooperates with the enemies to ruin his boss's empire. Chanyeol soon finds out Kyungsoo's dirty secret. Very angsty, drama, rough sex and happy ending. (Too much information!)

Good Prompt :)

Kyungsoo moved out from the city to the countryside with everything he had. What he doesn't expect is to find out that a stranger lived in his newly bought farm. The homeless man begs for Kyungsoo to not kick him out and Kyungsoo takes this advantage to make him his slave. (This give some space for the writer to put their own elements in between this prompt. There's a concept but in the same time the writer has the control on this)

You don’t have to prompt in order to claim, or to claim in order to prompt.

Please, claim a prompt only if you’re 300% sure you won’t drop out.

Avoid talking about your fic on social media.

Every pairing is accepted as long as Kyungsoo is one of the main characters and bottoms. Ot3, ot4 etc are accepted, as well as pairings involving members of other groups/others celebrities (such as Jo In Sung, Kim Woobin…).

Your story doesn’t have to involve smut. You can hint it, or just incorporate D/S undertones.

ONLY bottom!soo if there is smut please. Bottom!soo DOESN’T mean sub!soo. In fact, Mod R absolutely adores dom/bottom!soo, so if you want to write something involving daddy!soo, dom!soo, go ahead, as long as he bottoms.
