I usually do not have many issues with shipping community, sometimes I even get involved, but the target of my frustration today is Sidon x Link, because I do not like how it is depicted considering that in universe he seems to treat him more as an older sibling especially considering both of their relationship with Mipha and how they both seemed to be treated as younger brothers with feelings for link starting to develop fully towards the end of her life. And before people say that he reacts too strongly for it to be anything but feelings for each other, TOTK is a game about someone hunting down someone that they love, the first thing Link 'says' is asking about zelda, not the regional phenomena, not the sage themselves but about zelda, and zelda herself (spoiler warning for those still not in the know) turned herself into a dragon and underwent what seems to be a massively painful transformation to help Link and my personal belief is that she had thoughts when she was doing that, hope there would be a way to get back to Link or whether it was something that resembled a suicide attempt after losing everyone who cared about her and not seeing any other route.

Both Link and Zelda show what they were willing to do, but Sidon sided with Zora's domain first, not searching for Link but keeping the water pure with a fairly hopeless act of taking it purely upon himself to purify the water, the amount of zora we see acting as guards could probably do a decent job of keeping the water mostly pure, especially when you consider some of the more powerful zora, but he stayed because his heart was there, not with Link.
