Sending so much love to my good friend. Such a joy watching him thrive. It’s so well-deserved. Happy birthday @pascalispunk! 🥳 (via Mark Ruffalo’s instagram)

Numb Love
It scares me, how easy it was
How cutting you from a constant to a mere passing thought caused relief instead of pain
How after all this time, the break I initiated was the freshest breath of air I’d inhaled in so long
So long was I drowning and I’d finally broke through
And no longer was I willing to be dragged back under
I was free. Oh, how glorious it was
No longer shackled by my own insecurities and jealousies and love and trauma and desires
Free from him
But alas, it wasn’t meant to be
The chains have returned and I’m slowly being pulled to the bottom
Till death do us part.

Anchored
Five years
The anchor had been weighed down for five years
But remained forever faithfully attached to its boat
Over and over
The anchor was retracted and stored away under boards, unneeded
As the boat embarked on new journeys
Sailed off into high waters
Exploring new adventures
Never satisfied with remaining in one place grounded by its anchor
The boat had an electric engine installed
Soon enough the anchor was nearly forgotten
The anchor was brought out, intending to be disposed of
It waited so long for this fate
Tired of being unwanted and unappreciated for so long
Freedom
Even if it meant being discarded
It couldn't move on its own
Of course it couldn't it's an anchor
So it waited for the boat to toss it out
The anchor didn't even get that courtesy
The boat was too busy
Cycling through different speeds from its shiny new engine
Eventually, the boat hit a particularly rough patch of water
The anchor was sloshed overboard without notice of the boat
The boat continued on, noticing a slightly heavier weight
It pushed itself to go faster, unable to comprehend the resistance
It had yet to realize the anchor remained anchored to the ship
Through everything, it was attached to the boat
The way it was from the first day
Unable to let go
Strung along like dead weight
Finally though, five years later, the anchor broke free
The boat pushed its engine a little too hard
As the anchor broke free, the engine sputtered and came to an abrupt stop
After five years, the anchor broke free
The anchor was suddenly lighter, was able to float up and break the surface
To feel the sunlight on its hardened, jaded edges
However, there were cracks throughout it
The pain was chipped and rust had developed
But this was nothing
Compared to the release of pain the anchor was in the past five years
Pain that had gradually worsened
However, the boat, no longer fastened by its anchor
Swung wildly from the sudden disruption in momentum
The boat finally realized its immense loss
Before it flipped over and sank slowly under the water
The anchor continued floating at its own pace
Seeking more than the boat, now broken and sunken, ever would have been able to provide

I hopped over the fence to his side quicker than he could start calling me “babe” again. Maybe I jumped too soon. I now find myself teetering precariously on the peak. Not particularly leaning one way or the other. Wanting so badly to fall back into his arms but too jaded and much too broken by him to go crashing back down into broken glass shards.

Julianna Margulies & Josh Charles - part 2
Everybody takes what they do very seriously, but Jules doesn’t take herself so seriously. And she is such a good person, by nature such a caretaker. It’s in her genetic make-up. It’s why she’s such a good mom. She just wants to make sure everybody around her is taken care of. We’re really lucky to have someone like that leading the ship.
