the time I saw tick tick boom with lin

So I went to see Tick Tick Boom at this theatre it was only premiering for like a week and it wasn’t even a full blown production like 3-4 years ago. this was before hamilton was a thing but lin was already pretty popular. but it was lin manuel miranda, leslie odom jr and karen olivio performing!!! holy shit was it cool!! they rehearsed for like 2 hours I think so they still had their scripts in hand and it wasn’t very professional but it was a BIG theatre. 

but what happened was that lin’s mic stopped working during act 2 so sound dudes had to come out on stage and there was no hiding it at that point so lin just started talking to the audience and it was great because everyone was laughing and it was so wholesome. he posted like 7 tweets about how amazing we were of an audience and how wonderful the performance was which was super cute I wish I could find those tweets but they are definitely far back.

so when karen sang come to your senses I was crying and everyone was crying because she is SO good and it was so powerful. there was a massive standing ovation after her performance and I actually think she started crying on stage. it was a really sweet moment. I honestly don’t remember much of leslie but I do remember he was phenomenal as well.

I unfortunately don’t remember much after that all I know is that it was a really fun time and they were all so good.
