Hello!! I am now offering Tarot Readings on my Etsy shop!
How this reading works:
1.Once purchased, please message me here on Etsy with your question or situation that you would like clarity on. The more specific you are the clearer the message will be. Please send me all the information that you feel I should know going into your reading.
2. Your name and a bit about yourself. Age and general location are helpful, but are not necessary if you aren’t comfortable with sending.
3. If your reading will involve other people I will need a little bit about them as well.
With this reading, I will use one card to help bring you clarity to your situation or to answer your question. When asking a question, try to not ask a yes or no question. As I don't use a pendulum, I am not comfortable answering a simple yes or no question.
Example questions:
*How can I balance my career and personal life?*
*Am I on the right path?*
*What can I do to attract the best partner for me?*
*What is holding me back?*
Some back and forth may be necessary here on Etsy or per email, if you prefer, in order for me to give you the best reading.
An open, honest energy is the best way to receive an excellent reading. The more open to receiving you are, the better. If I feel like you’re not entirely honest with me or if your energy feels closed off, the reading may not be as clear.
I am direct and honest, but will try to be as sensitive to your feelings as I can. I want you to feel as comfortable with me as possible. This will ALWAYS be a judgment free zone. And everything that is shared between us is in complete confidence.
I DO NOT:
-do time frame predictions
-answer legal questions
-answer pregnancy questions
-answer other medical related questions
-give names when doing soulmate-love readings
*Same Hour Readings hours are 1pm - 9pm CST. Please understand that this is not my only occupation and I will do my best to make sure you receive your reading in a timely manner. However, if purchased outside my scheduled hours, you may NOT receive your reading within the hour.*
Disclaimer
You must be 18 years or older to purchase this reading. All readings are for entertainment purposes only. Information provided by reader is not to be substituted for professional, legal, and/or medical advice. No guarantees are offered and all sales are final.
*You will receive your reading via Etsy messenger or E-mail. Please let me know which you prefer.*

The sabbats are holidays celebrated throughout the year on solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. These sabbats form the Wheel of the year.
There is a controversy surrounding the dates of these holidays, as people celebrate them all over the earth, not only in the northen hemisphere but in the southern too.
One viewpoint is that the Sabbats should be celebrated as they were originally created to be… in other words, Samhain is October 31st, regardless of where you live. In the Southern Hemisphere, even though you are just gearing up to summer on October 31st, this perspective says that you celebrate the cleansing and releasing, the honouring of the dead just as you would if you lived in the Northern Hemisphere. The other viewpoint (the one I personally agree with) is that you should celebrate when you feel like the season corresponds with the holiday, in other words, your craft, your rules. So if you live in the southern hemisphere, you have the choice.
I’ll be writing the dates for each holiday starting with the northen hemisphere and then the dates that many people celebrate them in the southern hemisphere

SO ITS MABON
Don’t be scared if you missed the 21st, you have until the 29th to clear all that summer energy out and welcome the energies of fall which will bring about their own blessings!
Heres some some things to do during this time!
Cleanse your home of any dull summer blues like energy, and (if the air is safe for you guys because ik about the wildfires) open the windows to welcome in that cold crisp air of autumn.
Pickle some food in jars and stock up for the winter!
Honor your deities and/or ancestors (if thats what your practice involves).
Do some fun lighthearted things like wreath making, or redecorating your altars in the colors of the holiday which are, orange, gold, red, brown, purple, and blue!
Make some food that honors this festive time!
Give the land some offerings in preparation for the winter season.
Gather some of those beautiful autumn leaves!
If you have more to add to the list, please do!
Blessed be my darlings!

New page in my grimoire/BoS! It’s a pagan perpetual calendar. It has the wheel of the year and the phases of the moon which I can spin so that the current one is at the pointer (the broom on top). It spins!
Tumblr media
I was going to colour it, but when the linework was done I found I didn’t want to. I love the stark black and white, so I fastened it to a black piece of paper en glued that onto the page. I’m pretty proud of it tbh…..

Violet’s Classification of Witches
I made this post a lonnnng long time ago when I was a young witchling. I’ve edited it quite a bit and have omitted any classifications that might have to do with race/religions/etc. Just because I don’t want to get into that.
It’s very important to remember that labels should never limit your practice. These are just classifications that I find useful in describing myself, and others have used to describe themselves. This list was made purely for fun. This is, by no means, a complete list. You do not have to ‘fit’ into any of these. A person’s craft is unique to them, that’s what makes it so awesome. If you have a classification with a detailed description you would like for me to add that is not related to a closed religion or culture, please message me and I will add it! :)
__________________________________
Omni Witch: A bookworm and a know it all, this type of witch studies and practices all the fields of magick. They are innately curious about everything, and love to learn. They are talkative and eager to share the massive amount of knowledge they have absorbed.
Eclectic Witch: The Boho witch. She uses a combination or mix of whatever paths suit her best. Typically specializes in 2-4 different sects of the craft. She often will wear a mix-match of clothing, but enjoys long flowing things. She tends to be very random and eccentric, but is friendly nonetheless.
Kitchen Witch:  This type of witch uses easily obtained items and weaves magick into every aspect of their life. They are particularly fond of cooking, arts and crafts, sewing, cleaning, gardening and baking. They are skilled in potions, herbology, and subtle magick.
Cottage Witch: A Witch who focuses on hearth magick. Much like the Kitchen witch, but with less emphasis on the cooking. They are the homemakers, the ones who decorate the house for the holidays. Usually empaths who are very sensitive to the people around them.
Practical Witch: A branch of kitchen witch, they are adept at spellwork, and use their magick for everyday, mundane things. They adore the use of sigils and put them everywhere. Very down to earth individuals, who enjoy experimenting with ways to use magick to may their daily life easier and more enjoyable.
Stitch Witch: A brand of Kitchen and Cottage witchery that holds magickal fabric work in high regard. They focus primarily on knot and stitch magick. Very scatter-brained individuals. Their room are always in disarray, fabric and thread everywhere. Usually fond of cosplay. LOVE making Halloween costumes for their family and friends.
Green Witch: The woodland witches, these earthy individuals protect plants and love to garden. They usually are adept at spirit communication, hearing and responding to the needs of their many leaf-bearing friends. They thrive in natural environments such as forests, lakes, rivers and gardens. Green witches enjoy sunlight, growing plants and collecting rocks. They focus on holistic medicine and are learned healers. They are very familiar with their local region, having memorized all the species of plants, trees, insects, wildlife and flowers. They truly love the earth.
Crystal Witch: A branch of Green witchery, these witches primarily work with stones, gems, crystals, and rocks. They LOVE geology, spend a lot of time hiking and collecting crystals. Usually very organized individuals that are in tune with the earth. They always know when the next local rock and mineral show is. Usually broke because they are always buying new rocks. So many rocks. Fucking rocks everywhere omg.
Creature Witch: Another branch of Green witchery, mixed with spirit working and hedgecraft, these witches primarily work with Magickal and Astral creatures and spirits. They are very friendly people, and get along with all kinds of physical, and not so physical creatures. They collect fossils and bones and skulls and know the names and personalities of each spirit attached to them.
Hedge Witch: A witch that lives between two worlds. They easily cross over into Elsewhere, the astral realm, and do so with ease. Often skilled at working with magickal creatures and familiars, they are very creative and artistic individuals. They are also very adept at psychometry, spirit communication, energy work, and time travel. Also called Astral Witches.
Energy Witch: Witches that perform all of their magic internally. Their magic is one of pure energy, using circles cast in their heads and their imaginations to bring their will to life. Are usually shy and keep to themselves. They enjoy divination and astral projection. Also called Intrinsic Witches.
Shadow Worker: A combination of energy and hedge magick, the shadow worker tames and summons Shadows of their own past and personality. They regret nothing, are very in tune with their emotions, and spend a lot of time meditating. They are not afraid to confront their mistakes, because accepting the flawed pieces of their personality gives them power.
Spirit Worker: A Witch who communes with the dead spirits of humans, animals, and others entities. Some can even communicate with the spirits of trees, rocks, and man-made items. They are usually very outspoken, opinionated people. They use spirit boards and pendulums, among many other tools. They enjoy taking strolls in graveyards and having casual chats with the dead. Also called Mediums.
Exorcist: A branch of Spirit Worker. They are usually hereditary, clairvoyant and raised into their practice. They learn their craft as it is passed down from their family members. They practice the archaic tradition of exorcism, aka banishment of dark or foul entities. Very somber individuals, who try their best to be optimistic.
Oracle/Diviner: Branch of Spirit worker. Witches who primarily focus their practice on divination. Tarot, runes, pendulums, spirit boards, scrying, crystal gazing, aeromancy, stichomancy, sea gazing, animal gazing, bird watching, lynchomancy, ceromancy, astrology, numerology, amathomancy, dream interpretation, shufflemancy, tea leaf reading, people watching, palm reading, face reading. You name it, they probably know how to do it. Usually clairvoyant and have a number of other psychic abilities.
Chaos Witch: A witch who uses baneful magick in their craft. They enjoy working with bones and are skilled at channeling and communicating with spirits. They will sometimes use demons, storm magick, blood magick, and cursing in their practice. They fear nothing. Commonly mislabeled ‘black’ or ‘dark’ witch. Which is not correct. Tsk tsk.
Necromancer: A branch of Chaos magick, these witches take spirit working a step further, and are adept at communicating and controlling the dead. Necromancers usually have a familiar ‘wraith’ that acts much like an astral or spirit guide. Some can even raise the dead for a period of time to converse with them.
Blood Witch: Another branch of Chaos magick, these witches primarily use blood in their rituals. They have a high pain tolerance, care little about what others think or say, and are very set in their ways. Some do it to prove how strong they are or devotion to their deities. Nonetheless, nice people once you get to know them. Perhaps a bit misunderstood.
Sun Witch: A witch who draws their power more from the sun, than the moon as most witches tend to do. Adept at fire magic and are usually very spirited individuals. They use candles often in their practice, and love to throw barbecues and bonfires with their many friends. They enjoy sunbathing. Their magick comes in giant bursts and they will often use a lot of energy at once.
Lunar Witch: A witch who primarily draws their power from the moon. They adore her and are usually adept at making moon water and knowing exactly what phase of the moon it is at any given time. They do not fear the dark, do much of their magick after the sun goes down, and have the ability to speak with the Lady Luna herself. These witches also may choose (or be chosen by) one of the moons of another planet, such as Miranda or Europa., and will work with that particular celestial body.
Star Witch: Not to be confused with a Space witch, who works with all of the cosmos, primarily aliens and astrology. Star witches draw their power from constellations, stars, and the sun. They love star gazing, have star charts hanging on the walls of their room, and never miss a meteor shower. Very chipper individuals who always want to go to the planetarium rather than out to see a movie or to the park. They may also work with planets as well as stars.
Storm Witch: This breed of witch is both terrifying and thrilling. They have a great sense of humor, and are usually very cryptic. They give zero fucks what people think of them and march to the beat of their own drum. They whistle up the winds and summon lightning. These witches are usually very adept at cursing and fear nothing. They like horror movies, cloudy weather, and casting emotionally charged spells. They are empathic individuals and always feel things to the extreme, there is no middle ground with them. Its black or white.
Winter Witch: Witches who reside in the colder climates of the world. They cast snowstorms, collect hail and make poppets from snow. Blizzards are their best friends. They love cold weather, and usually draw their power from the snow and clouds, rather than the sun or the moon, as neither are usually very visible during storms. Despite their chilly disposition, they are warm and friendly once you get to know them.
Sea Witch: These witches hone their craft near a body of water, and center their practice around it. Some sea witches will work with fresh water, such as rivers or lakes (in which case they will usually call themselves ‘river’ or ‘lake’ witches), some with the ocean. Sea witches without immediate access to a body of water are called ‘land-locked’. They often form connections with fish of all kinds, know their local areas very well, are good at predicting the weather, and are friendly with the nymphs, fae and dragons of their region. They enjoy collecting sand and seashells and are adept at storm and sun magic.
Swamp Witch: A witch who works in the rivers and bayous of the world. They are adept at spirit communication and are versed in the traditions of their area. They enjoy wandering around their swamps, meeting familiars and befriending creepy crawlies. Their craft is usually a mix of traditional southern witchcraft and Hoodoo. They are very warm, hospitable individuals, but you should NEVER cross a Swamp witch. They are not afraid to curse your ass. These witches favor the healing powers of mud, enjoy mixing potions, reading next to a roaring fire and being with their family.
Witch of the Waste: Desert witches who work with sand and limited supplies. Hardy herbs are their best friends and they often use a lot of bone magic. They have an extensive fossil and skull collection and are constantly pouring over old field guilds for their local area. They can whip up sandstorms in the blink of an eye, and befriend scorpions, snakes, and coyotes alike. They are an enduring species of witch, weathering everything the world has to throw at them. Few things dampen their spirits.
Urban Witch: City witches who graffiti sigils on abandoned buildings, grow herbs in pots in their apartments and are very technologically savvy. Technomagic is their jam, usually rocking enchanted headphones, weaving spells from their favorite songs and using their cell phones as scrying mirrors.
Tech Witch: A branch of Urban witchcraft, they work with html and other computer codes, have virtual altars to their deities, use old circuit boards as wards, old keypads from cell phones and laptops as spirit boards, and old broken electronic screens for scrying. They typically keep their grimoires as blogs. Very intelligent witches who are always on tumblr.
Pop Culture Witch: A branch of Urban witchcraft. Witches that craft their spells based on popular music, movies, books and poetry. They are artistic and very educated and love to laugh. They can also curse the hell out of you. It’s not all Disney movies, folks.
Artistic Witch: A witch usually covered in paint from head to toe. They draw, paint, dance, sing, and sew their way through their practice. They enchant their tablet pens and paintbrushes, use storm water for their watercolors, and strike real emotion into their audience.
Dance Witch: Branch of Artistic Witch. They use dance in their practice, and are very physically sound. They may practice one on many kinds of dance, or even martial art. And they do so skillfully. They are usually very quiet people, but not at all shy or unsure of themselves. They would rather express their thoughts through movement and body language than actually speaking.
Theatrical Witch: Branch of Artistic witch. A player. They act and perform in plays to honor their deities, spend countless hours perfecting their lines and adore being dramatic. Very charismatic people who take pride in their work. Persistent. Never take no for an answer.
Melodic Witch: A branch of Artistic that primarily uses song and musical instruments in their practice. They are very busy people, constantly practicing whatever instrument has currently caught their fancy. They easily make friends with Sirens and Lorelai in their common love of song, and attract Fae and Nymphs alike with the sounds of their voices.
Fae Witch: These witches are educated on all types of faeries, but usually prefer to work with a certain species or one they are familiar with. They are usually very playful and mischievous individuals, mimicking the creatures they work with. They are very attracted to shiny things and are easily offended.
Nymphatic Witch: These cutie pies are usually Hellenistic in their choice of deities, and are well versed in all the species of Nymphs, what they like, and where they live. They usually work with the ones that live in their local area and mirror them in their personalities. They hate wearing clothes, but when they do they prefer pastel colors. They are very whimsical, pleasant people to be around.
Draconic Witch: These witches are fearsome. They are knowledgable in all the species of dragons, their personalities and their migration patterns. They usually will have one or more dragon companion from their local area. They are skilled in astral projecting, storm magick and cursing. They love to collect things such as books and crystals.
Vampiric Witch: A witch that either works with or is a vampire. They feed off the energy or emotions of others and use it to power their magick. They tend to be kind of clingy, but they are loyal as fuck and treasure their few friends. They have many secrets, and usually a dark past. They enjoy using blood in magick and are adept at healing and cursing. They are kind of vain, love gothic clothing, jewelry and expensive things.

Demonic Witch: These witches work with Demons. They differ from Exorcists in that they actually summon them and get them to go their bidding, rather than casting them out. Can usually hold a grudge a hella long time. Not people to mess with. Stubborn and bull headed.

Tasseography
•Tea leaf reading•
You might be wondering where this unusual form of divination came from, so here’s a short history on tasseography. Shortly after tea was introduced to Europe, tea leaf reading, as it’s now recognized, was born. Similar divination tools had been used with an assortment of other materials. The art of tea leaf reading spread through Europe, and is now practiced throughout the world.
Tumblr media
Doing a tea leaf reading involves you indulging in a delicious cup of tea and putting your sharp intuitive skills to work. After you enjoy your warm cup of loose leaf tea, you’ll leave the loose tea leaves at the bottom, where some of these leaves will form symbols, each having their own meaning. That’s where your keen intuitive abilities come in! Anyone can see a triangle at the bottom of a teacup, but your job is to intuit what it means for you or the person you’re reading for.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR A TEA LEAF READING
Tea cup with a wide brim that’s light enough to easily see your tea leaves.
Saucer
Loose leaf green or black tea, preferably organic.
Napkins
Pen and paper
Water
Tumblr media
HOW TO PERFORM A TEA LEAF READING
1. BREW YOUR TEA
Gather all of your materials. Boil your water. Place about a teaspoon of loose tea in your cup. Pour your water in and steep tea to your preference.
For the next 3 steps, if you’re doing a reading for someone else, have them do the following steps.
2. SIP & SWIRL
Before you take your first sip, gently swirl tea counter clockwise three times. Sip and enjoy your tea, but don’t drink it all! When there’s about 1 tablespoon of tea left in your cup, swirl it again 3 times counter clockwise and think about or speak your query aloud.
3. CREATE YOUR TEA READING CANVAS
Turn your cup upside down onto your saucer to remove the remaining water, allow it a minute or so to drain, then turn it back up right.
4. LOOK FOR SYMBOLS
Look over your loose leaf tea pieces and see if any symbols or shapes jump out to you immediately. Don’t fret if you don’t see anything immediately, similar to scrying with a crystal ball, it can take some time for imagery to form for you. Try looking at the inside of the cup from different directions to see shapes. Keep in mind the images formed are formed from tea leaves, so you will really need to use your imagination.
5. RECORD & DECIPHER YOUR FINDINGS
If you do start to see some shapes, begin writing them down on your piece of paper so you can decipher them later, note where in the cup they are too. Now you’re ready to decipher your findings! Here’s a guide for the most common symbols found during tea leaf readings:
Tumblr media
6. UNDERSTAND THE TIMELINE
Where your tea leaves are situated in your cup relate to when they will happen. This is why some of the tea leaf reading cups you find have circles inside of them. Timing is broken into thirds as follows:
Bottom third: farthest away from happening, think 3-5 years out.
Top third: will be happening in the near future, think within the next few weeks.
Middle third: will happen in about a year from now.
Tumblr media
7. FORM YOUR READING
Like most divination tools, a honed intuition is key for success, so be sure to lean on any gut instincts as you form the story for your reading. Once you understand the meaning behind the symbols it’s time to put all of the information into a story that makes sense for you or the person you’re doing a reading for.

Litha : Ways To Celebrate
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Tumblr media
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Host A Bonfire
Litha is all about the fiery aspect of the sun, so why not celebrate the fertility of the gods with a blazing, roaring fire in your back yard? It's the longest day of the year, so stay up late and host a bonfire for your friends and family.
Get sparklers too, and light them after dark. Make an offering to the gods of your tradition. Be sure to follow basic Bonfire Safety Rules, so no one gets hurt at your celebration. You can even incorporate your bonfire into a Litha rite, with the Midsummer Night Fire Ritual.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Leave An Offering Of Honey Cakes Outside
Preferably somewhere away from your house, as they will attract insects and even wildlife. Litha is said to be one of the two times of year when the “Veil Between Worlds” is the thinnest (the other being Samhain.) According to legend, the fairies and forest spirits are especially active on the night of the summer solstice, and honey is favorite treat.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Get Back To Nature
Go for a hike in the woods with your family. Enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. Take lots of pictures, or plan a scavenger hunt—have each of the kids bring a "nature bag" to fill up. Remember, don't pick any live plants, unless you're deliberately wildcrafting.
Before you head out, grab a field guide to local plants, and turn it into a teaching exercise, learn to identify what you see out there in the woods. If you take your hike in a public park, bring along a plastic sack to help pick up garbage on your way. If you get the chance to do this alone, try a Nature Meditation in a quiet spot somewhere on your journey.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Go Camping
If you’re feeling adventurous, but don’t want to leave luxury behind, try glamping and spend a night under the stars in style.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Get Your Body Moving
Litha is a magical, mystical time of year. Why not host a drum circle or spiral dance? You'll need a large group for this, but it's a lot of fun once you get everyone moving. In addition to being entertaining (and a great stress reliever), a drum circle or a ritualized dance serves another purpose—that of raising energy.
The more you build, the more people will feed off of it. Invite a group of friends over, let them know there will be music and dance, and see what happens. Be sure to provide refreshments for afterwards—drumming and dancing can be draining for some people.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Go Wildflower Picking
Identify and harvest some wildflowers to use in your summer spell work. Press them in your Book of Shadows if you have one.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Do Something For Others
Do something for charity. Organize a yard sale and donate the proceeds to a local homeless shelter. Collect gently used summer clothing and give to a local children's hospital. Host a dog-wash for your favorite shelter, and ask customers to either donate cash or pet food. Plan a neighborhood cleanup, and trim and weed common areas in your community. If you don't have time to coordinate a big project—and not everyone does—do things on a smaller scale.
Visit an elderly neighbour and help with her housekeeping. Offer to do grocery shopping for an ill relative. If you know a mom with a brand-new baby, help out with childcare so she can get a few hours of rest. There are any number of things you can do to help others, and with the days being longer, there's plenty of time to get things done!
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Read A Good Book
Summer can be a hectic and chaotic time of year. Maybe you're someone who needs to slow down and take a break. Litha is a good time to rejuvenate, so why not sit out in the sunshine and immerse yourself in a good book. Keep reading material handy all the time, so when you need a little down time, you can work through few pages. If your local library has a summer reading program, sign up.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Attend A Summer Festival
Litha is the week for pagan festivals. Find one. Attend it. You’ll have a blast, I promise.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Celebrate Family
Turn off the phone, step away from the computer and television, and spend time just having fun with the people who love you most. Take the day off work if possible and spend it any way you like—go to the zoo, a museum, a ball game, etc. Make this a day that you can do anything you want, and put the schedules away just for one day.
If you're worried that money might hold you back, there's plenty of stuff you can do for free: check your local metro parks for activity schedules, go fishing at a nearby lake or river, and watch the local newspaper for free admission deals at nearby attractions. If getting away for a day isn't possible for you, spend the afternoon at home—play board games, do jigsaw puzzles, and cook a meal together.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Make A Batch Of Sun Cakes
If you’re a kitchen witch, celebrate this Sabbat by baking! Sun cakes are perfect for the “cakes and ale” portion of a Litha ritual if you celebrate with a coven, or you can use them for offering.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Clean Things Up
Clean your house. Take advantage of the warm weather to have a garage sale and get rid of all those things you don't want. You can also organize a swap with your friends, or donate all your stuff to charities like Goodwill or Salvation Army. You've got plenty of daylight at Litha, so you can accomplish a lot in just a short period of time.
If your house is a bit daunting, select one room to work on at a time—preferably the one that needs the most help! Wash windows, wipe down baseboards, get rid of stuff you know you'll never use. Organize as you clean, putting donatable items into one pile, and trash in another, so you don't have to sort it later. Turn the project into a ritual with a House Cleaning Rite.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Make Herbal Candle Rings With Herbs
For the green witch : with your herb garden in full swing, it’s time to make some creative use of it.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Host A Barbeque For Friends And Family
Have a barbecue, and invite all your family and friends over. Decorate with colors of the sun—yellows, reds, and oranges. Feast on lots of summery food, like watermelons, strawberries, and fresh green salads. Add outdoor games like horseshoes, ladder golf, and backyard volleyball.
While you're at it, set up some kind of water activities—water balloons, super soakers, a pool to splash in. All of these are great outside activities in the heat of summer, and help celebrate the balance between fire and water, as well as welcoming friends and family to celebrate the season.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Try Cloud Scrying
Find a warm, grassy spot and look up to see what messages the sky might have for you.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Learn & Grow
Spend some time on spiritual growth. Use this time of year to learn something new about your tradition, develop a new skill, or take a class in Tarot, Reiki, yoga, or whatever appeals to you. Create a daily plan of study to help you focus on what it is you want to do next. You've got plenty of extra hours of daylight this time of year, so there are no excuses.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Visit A Honey Farm
If you’re not allergic to bees (or deathly afraid of them!) this is a nice activity. Be sure to stock up while you’re there.
☽⦁──────── ⦁☀️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Honor The Season
Many ancient cultures marked the summer solstice with rites and rituals honoring the sun. Celebrate the significance of Midsummer with ritual and prayers that recognize the sun and its magnificent power. Set up your Litha altar with symbols of the season—solar symbols, candles, midsummer fruits and vegetables, and more.

Sweet Cream Buns
This recipe was given to me by a friend awhile ago, and I feel it needs a little more appreciation. They’re super easy to make and are tasty too!
Tumblr media
I feel one thing a kitchen witch has to master is their ability to make all sorts of bread. It’s such a staple, and is so versatile. Not to mention how much of a crowd pleaser it is.
This recipe is a tasty bun, that when bitten into, oozes vanilla custard. Whenever I make these, they are gone in the first ten minutes. I tweaked this recipe from one of my good friends who enlightened me on this yummy recipe. I highly recommend you to try these for yourself!
Now in this recipe I will be showing you three fillings that I’m sure you will love!
- Vanilla Custard
- Chocolate coffee cream
- Brown sugar maple custard
Ingredients
For the Dough
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup bread flour
1 cup cake flour
A sprinkle of sea salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 packet of dry yeast
½ cup warm almond milk (Or any type of milk)
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 egg
3 tbsp butter
For the Vanilla Custard
5 tbsp sugar
2 ½ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Vanilla Bean
Vanilla Extract
For the Chocolate Coffee Cream
6 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
½ cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
¼ cup expresso/ brewed coffee
Milk chocolate/ dark chocolate/ Semi-sweet chocolate (Its up to you)
For the Maple Syrup Custard
5 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 ½ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Directions
To prepare: Set your butter and eggs out 10 minutes before you start so they enough time to come to room temperature.
Start by filling a measuring cup with your milk and heat in your microwave for about 20 seconds, or until when you stick a (clean) finger in, it is just warm. If it is too hot, it will kill your yeast mixture. Add your dry yeast in and stir. Let it sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
Next, in a kitchen aid (If you have one) attach the dough hook and mix your flour, salt and sugar together. Now crack an egg into the yeast mixture and add it to the kitchen aid bowl on low speed. Add in warmed cream. Let the dough hook do its magic on medium low speed until the dough is very smooth and elastic.
Add in your butter 1 tablespoon at a time and let it mix until completely smooth. About 4-5 minutes.
Oil a bowl with some neutral oil, or with some butter and place the kneaded dough ball into the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place in oven with the light on, or in a warm area.
Leave it to rise for 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Ok, so now poke your dough and let the gas leak out from the dough. Cut it into equal sized pieces and place cling wrap on it and let it rise for another 15 minutes or more.
In the 15 minutes, now is the time to make your custard cream. On high heat, add your milk and butter and let it come to a boil. Then turn down your heat and whisk in sugar, egg, and flour. Add in your additives (Vanilla, maple syrup. etc.) and mix on low heat until it has reached a thick pudding like consistency. About 6-12 minutes. If you are doing chocolate, here is the time to melt your chocolate in, when it is off the heat. Let it cool completely.
With a rolling pin roll out the pieces of dough and place a dollop of custard in the center. Fold them over and press/pinch the sides together. Repeat the process until all of them are like this.
Place them on a tray and wrap cling wrap over them. Let them proof for about an hour, or until they’ve doubled in size again.
Now with a nonstick pan on medium low heat, place the bun in the pan and cover with lid. Cook each side for about 5 minutes, or until it is a nice golden brown. You can also cook this in an oven. 400 F for 8-15 minutes.
Now your done! Enjoy this hot and cold, they are tasty either way. It will be a little crispy when hot and soft when cold.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
I love you all! My DMs, mail, and comments are always open!
xoxo, Angel

the three types of sun signs
/obviously if you’re, say, cancer sun with a leo venus & moon you might express similar traits to a cancer sun with leo mercury, also aspects & house placement matter too about the sign’s expression so take this into account when reading this/
aries sun
+ pisces mercury - way more vague and not-in-your-face than what you’d expect from an aries. they often sound as if they speak in riddles, and mind you, they WILL still speak a lot and in an authoritative way regardless if they make sense or nah but there’s still a softness in their words that hits different. they give aries the reputation of having a hidden sensitive and submissive side.
+ aries mercury - i mean one would expect them to be loud but even with those expectations in mind it’s still incredible how loud they really are. these people will speak up and yes, they do believe whoever speaks up louder is actually right. not the type to dwell on the past or learn from their mistakes. they give aries the reputation of being direct, extremely forward and always speaking up their mind.
+ taurus mercury - the headstrong aries (yes all aries people are headstrong, i mean the sign practically rules the head, but if you add some earthy stubborness to that the situation gets on another level). their fire burns out way slower than that of the other aries folks and their determination is visible not only in the passionate way in which they jump to action but also in their ability to sustain the structure of the mind one needs to support their actions. they give aries the reputation of being impossibly stubborn and determined.
taurus sun
+ aries mercury - the one that values their peace the least. that’s the taurus that often starts arguments and is extremely persistent about their point of view. speaks very confidently and might be too loud without realizing it. probably has a huge friend circle. they give taurus the reputation of acting as if they’re always right and being smugly confident.
+ taurus mercury - the one that puts comfort before it all. they might be spending most of their time at home. very funny in a goodnatured way, not the type to make heartlessly fun of people. will do anything to protect their safety. they give taurus the reputation of being security oriented and introverted.
+ gemini mercury - the unexpectedly sharp one. the rest of the tauruses don’t usually start shit and ain’t the type to bite you in the ass with a sassy remark but this one…oh this one will go after you for the fun of it. they seem very stable at first but when you know them a bit more you realize their mind is constantly moving and they need stimulation for it. they give taurus the reputation of being good with words and secretly manipulative.
gemini sun
+ taurus mercury - a gemini that keeps their opinion the same for more than 20 mins? yes they exist - and they most likely have mercury in taurus. those gemini are usually quite stubborn, less flexible in their life style and way of thinking and most likely to resist being pursued to do smth that makes them feel uncomfortable. they are the ones that give gemini the reputation for being unwilling to admit they might be wrong and for standing their ground in an argument at the cost of anything.
+ gemini mercury - wow…they’re quick. very smart with their words and eloquent, probably have a talent for writing short stories and capturing their audience. generally quite gifted when it comes to verbal expression. may get anxious to talk in front of an audience tho. the fastest when it comes to jumping back on your feet and coming up with a saucy comeback. they are the ones that give gemini the reputation of talking fast and a lot and for being able to twist everyone’s words as they please (jk that’s every single gemini)
+ cancer mercury - the more quiet ones that actually wait for their turn to speak (unless they’re in a #mood) (which is…often lmao). that’s the kind of gemini that observes their surroundings a lot and pretends to enjoys listening to people a lot. there is an air of languidness to them and they’re less prone to run away from their feelings and never mention them. the ones that give gemini the reputation of being moody and secretive and emotionally manipulative.
cancer sun
+ gemini mercury - the most emotionally detached one. these cancers can have a very keen understanding of people’s minds/emotions and they may use this knowledge in a manipulative way while maintaing an innocent facade (i mean, all cancers are prone to this but a gemini mercury makes you more rational and cunning so it’s more likely that you’d be able to manipulate others without giving yourself away). they often pull the strings backstage. they give cancer the reputation of being cunning and elusive.
+ cancer mercury - the sad poets. these people see the world in a melancholic light but also manage to find beauty and meaning in so many things and if they channel this talent into writing, well, they can be extremely inspirational and touching. good listeners but also rest assured they’re taking mental notes of your weak spots when they listen. often struggle with negative thoughts about themselves. they give cancer the reputation of being depressive and lyrical.
+ leo mercury - the scorpionic one. srsly….mix cancer and leo and you get smth very similar to scorpio lmao. extremely vengeful and will go after you if they feel like you’ve wronged them. i’m underlining the “FEEL” part cuz they can be pretty subjective about it and lash out at people for selfish reasons. very sensitive and the ego might be hurt easily so they might see being nonchalant as smth good but also crave intensity in their life almost as hard as scorpio venus does. the most extroverted ones. they give cancer the reputation of being vengeful and intense.
leo sun
+ cancer mercury - the leos that surprise you with how introverted they are. they’re a little far from the classical image of the flamboyant loud leo that needs public recognition. they’re more likely to seek validation and express themselves in front of someone they know and feel comfortable with. the leo that’s most likely to pay more attention to what others say than to their own voice. they give leo the reputation of being nurturing and clingy. (add a cancer venus as well and the situation gets easily out of hand)
+ leo mercury - the most creative ones of the bunch. they focus on learning how to value their ideas and voice and to get it out there, to express openly. there is a judgemental side to them tho, also they often get carried away with listening to themselves talk and start ranting on for hours about things that are not connected to the original topic. they give leo the reputation of being self-absorbed and strongly expressive.
+ virgo mercury - the leo that’s most likely to not follow their heart; at least not without including some thought as well. thought out actions and analytical approach rather than expressive. may struggle with expressing themselves confidently and to feel like their voice is not loud enough. they give leo the reputation of being eager to help and difficult to satisfy.
virgo sun
+ leo mercury - the least shy ones. not that they can’t be withdrawn too but those virgos always seem to find a way to shine. they need an outlet for their creative energy where they can receive openly validation. compared to the others virgos, they’re most likely to admit they’re deeply affected by what others think of them. they give virgo the reputation of being confident and bossy.
+ virgo mercury - the overOVERthinkers. yes, all virgos think themselves to exhaustion but these ones have it especially hard. their mind is a literal maze and it takes all of their focus and mental energy to not get lost. also that’s how they develop their excellent organizational skills. they give virgo the reputation of being deeply analytical and orderly.
+ libra mercury - the writers. if you’re a virgo sun/libra mercury, you have both the dedication and the talent to write down literal masterpieces and if you still haven’t started, maybe you should give it some thought. those virgos combine their natural sense for atmosphere and aesthetics with the impeccable analytical intuition that helps understand things objectively. they give virgo the reputation of being a smooth talker and of being seductive yet cold at the same time.
libra sun
+ virgo mercury - the poet. idk a single libra with virgo mercury that hasn’t written a lot of poetry in some part of their life. also they’re quite likely to express strong opinions and to be very good at defending them. sharp thought, might come off a bit too cold and mean sometimes but not in a rude way, just a bit as if they lack compassion. they give libra the reputation of being argumentative and a devil’s advocate.
+ libra mercury - the perfect one. add a libra venus as well and count yourself immediately in love. these libras are smooth talkers, always listening to others and trying to make them feel supported and as if they agree with them and see their point of view. can be pretty hard to get to know their more private self because they tend to hide parts of themselves that won’t please others very deeply. this often makes them appear like an ideal partner. they give libra the reputation of being heartbreakers and perfect lovers.
+ scorpio mercury - the one that understands. don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean the rest of the libras ain’t understanding, it’s just libras aren’t focused on penetrating the other’s mind, their goal is to please, not to dissect. scorpio mercury makes one a sharper observer and also more interested in plunging in the depths than in reflecting the surface. they give libra the reputation of being manipulative and knowing more than they show.
scorpio sun
+ libra mercury - they actually love flirting and are pretty good at it. the sag ones may come off as too direct, the scorp ones are reluctant to reveal their feelings and may come across as…creepy and intense, but the libra ones…oh boy. they know all about social niceties and also all about how to avoid them without being awkward or scary. it would appear, at least on the outside, that they’ve managed to control their raw plutonic energy and to express it in a more balanced way. (don’t tell them that we know it’s just for show lmao). they are the ones that give scorpio the reputation of being super flirty and seductive and showing romantic/sexual interest in many people.
+ scorpio mercury - someone’s checking you from across the room being all gloomy and dark and all-seeing? a person that looks like the embodiment of sauron’s eye? ye that’s probably someone with a scorp sun + scorp mercury, even more so than scorpio venus/rising. they communicate through the eyes. these are the type of ppl that would turn off their music around people but remain with their headphones on so they can snoop on convos. sharp, sarcastic and…they be knowing shit. they give scorpio the reputation of being fbi agents and of knowing more than they appear to know without revealing much about themselves.
+ sagittarius mercury - the ones that won’t keep their mouths shut. less inclined to read the room, more inclined to change the room’s energy. expect long rants about every part of life that sound as if they see themselves as the wise monk that came down from the mountains to save your pitiful ass with their truth (when i say “their truth”, read the only truth). they give scorpio the reputation of being big meanies that will make you cry without batting an eye and of always being honest and straightforward.
sagittarius sun
+ scorpio mercury - the private ones. sagittarius ppl are notorious for being great at avoiding intimate and personal topics but scorpio mercuries take this skill to another level. you have a distinctive feeling they have a deeply hidden side to them and it may take years to make them open up a bit about it. they give sagittarius the reputation of being intense and emotionally manipulative.
+ sagittarius mercury - the know it alls. srsly tho, these people have in their minds prepared extensive rants on literally every topic on earth that exists or might be created. they like to have the last word, despise being proven wrong and rarely realize how overbearing this might be to others. they give sagittarius the reputation of being walking encyclopedias and being overly argumentative and unable to admit their mistakes.
+ capricorn mercury -  the practical one. these sags are a bit less likely to fit the stereotype of a hippie that’s constantly traveling around without settling. they’re definitely expansive like all jupiterians but they think and express themselves in a more… compressed way + need stability and structure in their chaos. they give sagittarius the reputation of being wise beyond their age and dogmatic.
capricorn sun
+ sagittarius mercury - the blunt one that always has some “painfully honest opinions” to share. may come off as rude and inconsiderate towards people’s feelings. i’ve noticed this mercury really enhances the mars influence in capricorn people (after all mars exalts in capricorn). probably a bit more scandalous and controversial than you’d expect from your regular capricorn. they give capricorn the reputation of people who take no shit from anyone and will cut you if you cross them.
+ capricorn mercury - the dry one. outspoken and believe that less is more. but might fail to apply this belief to their personal life as they also genuinely believe they know better than anyone and have to guide others immediately by expressing their superior thoughts. might often quote people they consider to be an authority and like to be seen as such too. they give capricorn the reputation of dogmatic and confident people that will follow through on any cost and that stand behind their words.
+ aquarius mercury - the visionary. they manage to combine perfectly their powerful will to see things through and their fascinating ability to perceive and understand the world, this way becoming someone who can actually make changes (for better or for worse) and manifest their ideas. more futuristic and innovative than you would expect from a capricorn. they are the ones that give capricorn the reputation of acting cold and detached and being lil freaks behind closed doors (i lied, they’re all kinda freaky regardless of the mercury sign lol)
aquarius sun
+ capricorn mercury - the action oriented one. they won’t be as chaotic and shocking as one might expect from an aquarius. structured way of speaking and contagious confidence. they give aquarius the reputation of being ambitious and persuasive.
+ aquarius mercury - the innovator. yeah all aquarians are supposedly innovative, it’s in the job descriptions, so to speak, but those with mercury in the same sign really focus on sharing their visions with others and changing the world with their ideas. god gave them a sneak peak and they’re spreading the word. they give aquarius the reputation of being a genius.
+ pisces mercury - the artist. a lot of creativity comes with this combination. it’s a difficult one since both the sun and mercury are in detriment but if you don’t let the self pity that comes with being unable to express the self in an understandable way drown you, you may reach and share with others unseen depths. they give aquarius the reputation of being mystical and hard to understand.
pisces sun
+ aquarius mercury - the most reasonable pisces we’ve got. they are able to detach from their emotions and apply common sense easier than most pisces. from what i’ve seen they also struggle a lot with expressing their own needs in a personal way, they’re often going on about the community, their friend group, the people that surround them…they give pisces the reputation of being chaotic and unpredictable.
+ pisces mercury - the most difficult to understand. they mostly communicate through disconnected blurts of gibberish that may or may not contain a drop of infinite wisdom. these pisces need to recharge with alone time and creativity even more so than the rest and may have a vivid connection with other dimensions and express this in a very strong and picturesque way. they give pisces the reputation of having a wild imagination and being withdrawn and kinda incoherent.
+ aries mercury - the pisces that don’t need so much alone time or at least crave company as much as they crave seclusion. they’re the ones who get their message loud and clear and it might actually be difficult to get them to shut up (actually the latter is true about all pisces but let’s not get there lmfao). might lean into being too fanatical and overbearing and to act as if their message is some god sent truth we all should abide by. surprisingly domineering in a conversation. they give pisces the reputation of doing whatever it takes to get what they want, often in sneaky manipulative ways cuz neptune is involved, and of being really out there when it comes to expressing who you are.
