Tattoo Knows His Feelings

Tattoo stopped to stare at Aran AFTER he stole the necklace.

Tattoo appointed Aran his assistant for his experiment.

Tattoo has shown several times that touching Aran is second nature to him. He doesn't even think about it.

Tattoo won't let Aran leave.

Once again, the man who claimed Aran couldn't stay with him won't let him leave now.

Aran's dad threw him away without a second thought, yet Tattoo doesn't let Aran slip away because he has slowly realized that even though Aran was rich, he never experienced love.

Aran is the son of a man who is violent and heartless, yet somehow, despite his pretentious exterior and cold upbringing, Aran is a kind man.

How could Tattoo not fall for him?

And so dies Li Lun, the great demon and protector of the Wilderness, right above the place where Ao Yin had passed away in his arms, sacrificing herself for him, so he could now sacrifice himself for his friend and the Wilderness, dissipating into the same air she had. He once promised her to give her his power once he died so it wouldn't go to waste, but since she's gone and he can't give it to her anymore, he transfers it ZYZ and ZYC.

He gives everything of himself to fulfil the vow he swore to ZYZ and to save him - be it his demonic power, his life, or the Truth Eye.

Li Lun used to hate ZYC and found him undeserving of ZYZ's friendship, but now he's sharing a part of himself with him, passing down the baton and his legacy to him, finally deeming his worthy of ZYZ.

When he is transferring his power to both of them, he serves as a link between them, it's like he's giving them his blessing.

It's a farewell, a final gift, a final act of love, it's his sacrifice, penance and atonement, but most importantly it's his choice to be the man ZYZ always believed him to be, proving that ZYZ has never been weak and has always been right. That his act of mercy of sparing him and begging ZYC for his life wasn't a weakness, that it's what saved not only them but Li Lun in more ways than one. It allowed Li Lun to live his life again, this time choosing the right path just as ZYZ wished and always hoped.

It's poignant how Li Lun chooses to face his greatest fear; he is brave because he's afraid, fights it and even though he dies, he wins over that fear. I love how even ZYC notices and protects him from the fire.

I don't know how they managed to sneak in so many male-to-male love confession but I shall be eternally grateful for it.

On a final note, Li Lun's final fight and goodbye cost me 9 tissues.
