Jane Austen really said ‘I respect the “I can fix him” movement but that’s just not me. He’ll fix himself if knows what’s good for him’ and that’s why her works are still calling the shots today.

“There is only one way to read, which is to browse in libraries and bookshops, picking up books that attract you, reading only those, dropping them when they bore you, skipping the parts that drag-and never, never reading anything because you feel you ought, or because it is part of a trend or a movement. Remember that the book which bores you when you are twenty or thirty will open doors for you when you are forty or fifty-and vise versa. Don’t read a book out of its right time for you.”
— Doris Lessing (b. 22 October 1919)

Hello Mr. Gaiman! I was planning to read one of your books for a school assignment, but unfortunately it doesn't appear that my school library has any.
Would you happen to have any good classical novels you could recommend?
-Cocoa
I don't know how old you are, what you like, or what kinds of things they have in your library. But off the top of my head, books that they might have in your library that I would recommend would include:
The Wind in the WIllows by Kenneth Grahame
The Count of Monte Cristo, Alexandre Dumas
1984 - George Orwell
anything they have by Ursula K Le Guin
anything they have by Diana Wynne Jones
Bleak House - Charles Dickens
Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen
The Master and Margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov
Cat's Cradle- Kurt Vonnegut

To all my Dutch followers: if you read one (1) book this year, make it "Identitti” by Mithu Sanyal.
Blurb:

Hello Neil! I love your work and what you do
What's the funniest insult you ever got?
There was a Republican politician in Minnesota who called me a "pencil-necked weasel", and then his mother made him apologise.
