I’m paying to force seven thousand strangers to see a photo of my late husband having fun with his dog. Tumblr Blaze is totally worth it. XD

People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

Is it ethical for me to give my sadness blood to someone?
(It is absolutely and this reminds me to go donate blood. I fell out of the habit once I was out of college. It’s really easy to give blood on a college campus which is maybe alarming but maybe speaks to the altruism of college students).

I’m gonna be honest part of me thinks blood letting would fix me.
Like just drain some of it idk it’s filled with depression ghosts let it out.
Deflate me a little.
I think it would help more than a smoothie or a random patch sold by an MLM.

As someone who's been a lover of traditional folk music from the British Isles for several decades, one thing I've learned is that "True Love" didn't always mean what you think it means. In the older songs, "true love" is not some mystical quality, some type of connection that is magically better than other Loves. No. A love that is "true" merely means that your Love is "true TO YOU." "True" as in faithful and loyal and trustworthy. A lover who will stand by you and with you no matter what comes. True the way a good sword is True. True the way a good knight is loyal. The contrast is "False Love," which is a lover who betrays you, who cannot be trusted.
"True Love" isn't something you find, it's a vow and a choice that you make, every day, to BE TRUE.

Honestly I miss the energy Tumblr had when the first Pacfic Rim movie came out. Everybody was talking about who they were drift compatible with and that was like a huge compliment. Ppl were drawing Kaijus, and Jaegers, naming ‘em. It was a better time

Huh, neat. Apparently I can sew heavy chain onto fabric much easier by attaching a soda can tab on the other side of the fabric as a reinforcement, and sewing the tab and the link together through the cloth. Bears the weight much more evenly, stays sturdier, less worry about ripping since no singular point of the fabric is the load-bearing structure.

“Raw milk is better for you as long as you boil it” so true bestie now imagine if we could like. Super boil it. To really get all the bacteria out. And if we could do that quickly and efficiently. Imagine that.
