“Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.” - Christopher Morley

Robert: FOUR MONTHS!
Jonesy: What is he talking about?
Jimmy: It’s really not that big of a deal, Robert.
Robert: THAT’S HOW LONG YOU’VE STOOD BY AND WATCHED ME WATER A FAKE PLANT!

“Plant, who jumps around and flings back his head like a groupie that doesn’t quite know what’s happening, at one point-sits with Page and Jones and they do a hoedown-ish number. Page, in “Whole Lotta Love,” Inserts a piece of ‘I’m Not Talkin’, a song from his old band, the Yardbirds. In “Heartbreaker,” he slips in “Bourre,” which Tull did Monday night, only Page has a bigger audience: 9,000.“

“It was a strained tendon but it was in that area that’s crucial for playing guitar. It was such a stupid thing really, but in five gigs, I fucked it up for five weeks. I had to have all manner of treatments and injections. Think about it this way–after playing gigs for a solid month, I was only allowed to play for ten minutes a day and even then the injury wasn’t improving. It was a totally horrifying experience, but somehow it all fell together.”
—Jimmy Page about his hand injury caused by spraining his hand on a wire fence at the Los Angeles airport when trying to greet fans and sign autographs through the fence, On May 29th, 1973.

“Music has the power to release you, even for a moment. Change your state of mind or give you hope, even if you don’t need to reach or just to make you laugh or feel alive. Music is for everyone, created by someone you might not know. Created by YOU. It makes us feel not so alone at times that left us tired than the body can physically go. Music is bigger than you. It will last longer than me. It tells us we’re not so different from each other. We are individual notes, that together, makes us a composition.”
— Jerry Cantrell explaining what music means to him.

“ As a chronicle of the 60’s and 70’s L.A rock scene, an unofficial history of female fandom, a sexual memoir of a girl coming of age at the height of the 60’s love power and the voice of a misunderstood amd maligned rock subculture, I’m with the band is one of the most important, revealing and unabashedly honest books about rock ever written”
