Laura's Visit Home

Laura wished she could just disappear. She was trying to keep from bursting into a fresh flood of tears, while residual tears continued to cloud her view of the corner. All four of her cheeks burned – two from pure embarrassment, the other two from The Spanking Stick – and in her mind she tried to find a way for this to not be all her fault. She felt her sister's smug look and surely somehow she was to blame for at least some of this as well. 

But Laura knew better, her behavior had justly earned her the spanking. Her Husband was right to mete it out and Laura's mind turned to composing the convincing apology to her Mom that her Husband expected her to offer once her corner time was over. Laura thought the apology through diligently for she didn't want to find her poor tender bottom the subject of an energetic encore performance from The Spanking Stick.  

Unlike other corner times, Laura dreaded her moment of release. She didn't want to face her family. Especially her Dad. 

What Laura was not expecting was how her Dad was looking at his eldest daughter with great pride. He recognized her behavior was inappropriate – perhaps due to jetlag – yet he was quite proud of his daughter's subsequent behavior.  

She had quickly remembered herself when her Husband confronted her. Laura's Dad watched his daughter's obedience as she retrieved The Spanking Stick from her luggage. He saw her welling sorrowful tears as she demurely held out The Spanking Stick - both hands, handle first - to her Husband revealing an unexpected beauty in Laura her Father had never seen in his daughter before.  

Laura then softly placed her hand into her Husband's offered hand before he led her to the guest room, – ironically the room she had always known as The Spanking Room growing up. As she was being led, Laura looked back over her shoulder and gave her Dad a look of womanly contrition. That look was the moment Laura's Dad saw all of his efforts as a Father had been realized. He had raised a good daughter and like her Mother she had become a good Wife.
