A Bombshell Home Remedy: Teeth Whitening
Bombshelllogic's favorite Bombshell, Catherine Zeta Jones' favorite way to whiten her teeth:
Whitening Teeth with Strawberries
Procedure: Brushing teeth using mashed strawberries
It is also not advisable to brush your teeth with strawberries - strawberries get their power to brighten teeth from ascorbic acid - and acids are harmful to teeth. If someone chooses to brush with strawberries, they should be sure to brush teeth immediately with fluoride toothpaste, and then to floss.
Another great tip: try substituting Baking Soda and Peroxide once a day.

The Red Trend
About a month ago, I had a color accident. I wanted to do the ombre (as I said I had done in the prior post) with a few hand painted, subtle highlights around my face. I used a colorist I hadn't ever been to, and she turned me into a shade that can only be described as a new, shiny penny. Keep in mind, I have olive skin, dark brown hair, and dark eyebrows. Needless to say, it didn't work out so well.
This situation got me thinking about how so many celebrities are now redheads. It's a definite trend, but is there a shade of red that works for every skin tone? I've yet to be convinced.
I love a redhead, but ladies, before you take the plunge, make sure you can pull it off and that you have a colorist who knows the perfect shade for you!
That being said, click on the link below and take a look at this radiant trend!

An Easy, Beautiful, Bombshell Worthy Spring Trend
Even as a stylist, when getting my hair done, the first thing I tell my good friend and colorist, Kristin, is "LOW MAINTENANCE!" Lucky for me, that seems to be the trend.
This spring, natural is in. Embrace your hair whether it's a wave, or stick straight, whether mousy brown, or bleach blonde, it's yours and it's beautiful! But if in the mood for getting a little funky here's how to accomplish that:
COLOR!
Some people claim the ombre is over, I say it's in and it's here to stay!
If you're a brunette, add a gorgeous, warm weather glow to your hair by going a little lighter on the ends. I did it recently and I'm not looking back! Gives a fun and stylish look, and the best part is it's the easiest color to maintain.
My personal favorite, Lily Aldridge:
Blondes, enhance that hair that we brunettes are all so jealous of with some beautiful golden tones!
For the blondes (Does it get better than this?), the one and only SJP:
TIP: As the weather gets warmer and warmer, why not add a few more blonde pieces?
The best part: it's still you, natural, subtle and beautiful. PLUS get it done once, and there's no upkeep! My favorite easy, fun, and simply gorgeous Spring trend.

Make-up can cost a pretty penny - as we know - but does it have to? Check out this great article and find out what Jennifer Calonia, of US News, says is best to splurge on and best to save on.

After a week of decompression and getting back to life in NYC, some poor quality pics (broken camera!) are available of a great experience my sister and I shared in Berlin.
As said in a previous post, she sang with the incredible Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and I was lucky enough to tag along and do her hair and make-up as an added bonus to hearing this amazing music. It was a truly outstanding experience and I am so grateful to have had the chance to do this with my sister and best friend!

A Trip to Berlin
After a day of traveling, I landed at the Berlin Airport with my fabulous sister and opera singer, who is making her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic tonight. I was asked to style for a world broadcast of the beautiful piece "Gloria" by Francis Poulenc, in which she is the soloist. This is such an exciting time for she and I. I cannot wait for tonight, Thursday and Friday. It will be an extraordinary moment!

My favorite make-up artists are a fabulous sister duo, Pixiwoo. Having followed their YouTube videos for years, I thought I'd share where I've gotten some of my make-up knowledge and possibly inspire another young person to learn as much as they can from these fabulous sisters!
They have posted tutorials on everyone from Kim Kardashian to Sophia Loren. Learn how to give others these fabulous looks, or try them on yourself! Edit, play, and tweak them to make them your own and become a bombshell. Either way, you will love the end result! These girls are fabulous! Enjoy!

After a LONG year of non-stop hair the final test was to cut, color and style a model, over three days, with the final presentation on the third day, in front of Nick Arrojo, himself (no pressure).
I was really lucky to have gotten a model who was extremely open-minded and excited about all things artistic (hair and make-up included). Today, on her blog, she posted about her "hair transformation":
http://andreakcastillo.wordpress.com/2011/11/29/my-hair-transformation-made-possible-by-arrojo-cosmetology/
It was a fantastic experience, that I am SO grateful was shared with my model, Andrea, and all of my fabulous classmates. The most rewarding part? She LOVED it!

Holiday Hair on a Budget!
The holidays are here! When you’re celebrating, fabulous hair is a must! But as the price of getting great hair soars higher and higher, it’s not something everyone can afford, or is it? Why not try going to a local cosmetology school? Arrojo Cosmetology School in NYC, perhaps? I know I know, it’s your hair and letting a student do it is scary! The great news is that cosmetology schools have very talented and experienced, educators supervising the students’ every snip and stroke. They also have minimum experience requirements that the students must fulfill before they get to touch your treasured locks. So check out the schools in your area. Chances are you can get Bombshell worthy hair at a fraction of the price you would pay at a salon, with the same result!
