Yuta: It's fine, I got eight minutes.

Entertainment Spotlight: Alisha Wainwright, Raising Dion
If you’re a Shadowhunters fan, you probably recognize actress Alisha Wainwright as the werewolf Maia Roberts. Currently, you can catch her as the lead opposite Michael B. Jordan in the upcoming Netflix series Raising Dion, which premieres on October 4th. Prior to finding her passion for acting, Alisha majored in botany at the University of Florida, where she went on to complete a post-grad internship with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in the Panama Canal. We got the chance to ask her some questions. Check it out:
How do you get in character and commit to scenes that rely heavily on special effects?
Having a playful imagination helps! And great concept art so you’re not completely in make believe land.
Without any spoilers, what scene or episode of Raising Dion are you most excited for fans to see?
There is a scene where I play pool and pull of a really complicated trick shot. It’s actually me playing pool and it looks so slick in the final cut of the episode, but I’m embarrassed to say how many takes it took.
Describe a typical day on set.
Our days started early, around 8:00am, so I’d get there at about 6:00am for hair and make-up and to rehearse. Then we would work, work, work with a half-hour lunch break somewhere in there. I was usually hanging around crafty, reading a book, or sleeping between set ups. I can sleep anywhere, anytime. After a 12-14 hour day, we say good night and do it all over again the next day.
What’s the first thing (movie, show, musician) that you remember being a fan of?
I watched Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin so much I ruined the VHSs. I was definitely a Disney lover as a child.
Do you have a favorite Comic-Con memory?
When I went with my Shadowhunters cast at NYCC, we did an interview on an upper level with these glass windows that looked over the main convention space. I was floored by how many people were there and how many beautiful and fun costumes I saw. I’m always impressed by fan creativity.
Thanks so much, Alisha! Check out Raising Dion on Netflix on October 4th.

Lily-Rose Depp The cover for the Winter issue of The Face Magazine.
Interviewer: There’s a semi-nude scene, of little import, but I ask how she feels about the potential of going tits-out for a role. “I don’t know, I’m French,” she replies. “I’m not nervous about stuff like that. I grew up being, like, topless on the beach. I was raised by a French mother who taught me that there was nothing shameful about your body.”

Johnny Depp is such an inspiration. He is so strong and brave. He didn’t let all of this make him bitter, he remained his sweet caring self and look at him now; a winner, a hero. Dear Johnny you deserves all the happiness in the world!
