i think a lot of liberals need to confront the fact that they don’t actually believe everyone should have basic human rights. a homeless person could call me every slur under the sun and i would still want them to have housing, food, etc. the belief that everyone is entitled to basic human rights should not hinge on whether you “like” someone or not. at that point the entire ideology crumbles.

Funny enough, I have a Planned Parenthood appointment today. If I lose access to birth control in the next 4 years, I will be bed bound. These hormones are required for me to live a healthy, functioning life, despite being at zero risk for pregnancy. HRT is a necessity.

It's okay to mourn today. It's okay to take the time to cry and hug your friends and reach out to the people you worry for. In the next four years, we need to work together and show up for each other. NO MORE DEAD FRIENDS. We cannot allow each other to quietly disappear.
