remember how our generation on tik tok fucked up the first trump rally? the tickets are FREE to this event. be a crying shame if you were to-
- get a ticket using a throwaway email, fake zip code (i like looking up utah zip codes and throwing one of those in-) and fake name, then block the number after you confirm the ticket
- go put stuff in your cart and don't check out (fucks with their sales)
- if you can't get a ticket spam the ticket form with bullshit. if enough ppl do it might break the site...
- share this with your friends and spread it like crazy, even if you can't get a ticket.

the cul de sac society - a new audio drama
this is the cul de sac on dogwood street, in the suburb of greenhill terrace, in 1955 suburban america. on the cul de sac of greenhill terrace, live six families:
the williamsons. a war wife brought from china, christine, is the only thing that makes this different from a picture perfect 1950s family. christine and her husband james, a ww2 veteran, have five kids, and a perfectly loving relationship. there is nothing the matter here.
the clarks. they live next door to the williamsons, and coincidentally, the veteran soldier who lives there, richard, also has a war wife, a japanese woman named taeko who doesn’t know when she was born. taeko is a stay at home wife in the most literal interpretation of the phrase, not leaving for even shopping. the reason? she was a comfort woman during ww2, something not even her husband knows, and her trauma, anxiety, and depression are a lit fuse.
the johnsons. kathleen, a devoted wife with blonde hair and cheekbones that are fawned over by almost every woman in the area, rules the neighbourhood and the pta. she runs the women’s saturday book club and has nearly every woman in the neighbourhood under her thumb, except for, maddeningly, the clarks and williamsons. her husband? anthony, a hardened veteran with homicidal tendencies.
the stevensons. patty is a meek, weakened wife who has borne her husband seven children, and her husband, paul, threatens to cut off her limbs or his limbs if she does not submit to him in the way the ads say she should. everyone knows that that is the house that something bad would happen in, if something bad happened.
the millers. the millers are michael & nancy, a perfect couple, michael commutes to work in the city, and nancy is kathleen’s left hand woman, seeking out all the gossip and doing kathleen’s dirty work in between caring for her three children and making slightly suspicious midnight strolls in her robe.
the andersons. samantha is kathleen’s childhood best friend, her blonde partner in crime(?) samantha enjoys the simple things in life, and is a bit dull for kathleen’s liking, but history of companionships keeps them tight friends, and samantha’s reports of periodical odd noises in her house never fail to intrigue kathleen.
i ask you this: what happens to these six families when this idyllic suburban neighbourhood in 1955 takes a turn to the worse?
find out in the cul de sac society, launching in fall 2020! follow this blog for updates, and a casting call for voice acting!

Round 12 Complete
This is it, you guys. The final score post, the end of the final round.
Over the course of four weeks, we have been through ups and downs, burnout and bad prompts, strategy and a burning thirst for victory from almost everyone.
Before we get to the scores, humour me for a moment, while I share some stats with you. Don’t skip past, this is compelling stuff! It shows, truly, how far we have come.
Words written for round posts: 7,241
Number of notes for this challenge on Dev’s notes app: 73 (counting this one)
Wordcount of all those notes: honestly probably like 10k but i ain’t counting that shit
Total, all team wordcount: Approximately 216,500 over the course of 12 rounds & 4 weeks!
To drag this out further, here are 5 of my favourite fics from this, in no particular order:
it’s an effed up world by @junietuesday
Memories by @zoes-dumb-writings
That Quarantine Life (Chapter 5) by @heereigoagain
brontide by @portinaris
Okay. You’ve read the stats, you’ve seen my favourite fics.... now, it’s finally time to reveal the winner.
And the winner is....

To all of you- pat yourselves on the back. As one, we wrote 216k in one month. That’s insane! And we did it together. All of us, from those who dropped out to those who stayed through the entire time and those who joined in the middle, together we put 216k words of fic into our fandom.
Was this challenge stressful? Hell to the yes! Was it fun, though? Of course it was. And I will be doing it again... just with longer rounds, probably in November. This enby needs to sleeeep, y’all.
So, one last time (officially), not for points, join me in a game of Cards Against Humanity in the server. I mean, I’m sure we’ll play again on different occasions, but join me in a celebratory game of CAH as we celebrate the very end of our little challenge. We are going to have an after party for the ages (at least, if people are online!)
This is Dev, signing off on our final post.
And lastly... just, thanks, y’all, for taking a chance on a fourteen year old’s little quarantine challenge, and making me very happy for the past four weeks.

The Final Battle
Press A To Start
This Round 11 was a calm before a storm... at least, I sure hope so! We’re going into Wordy Weekend with a tight score, and hopefully the lacking performance this round and Round 10 is all just a precursor to a massive Round 12.
No use in dragging this out, let’s get to scores! This post is long enough that we need a read more button, banter shall not deviate us from our course.

Now that you’ve skipped past that, stopping only to touch on your team’s score, you’re pretty antsy to find out what our final Wordy Weekend theme is, right?
Well, first, I have to tell you about our penultimate (and best) Wordy Weekend prize, that was awarded last weekend to @zoes-dumb-writings.
I gave her a list of twelve players, with only numbers to identify them. Three of these ‘players’ were in fact duds, and Zoe doesn’t know which ones were duds... so the prizes, in theory, will not be spread out equally.
What are these prizes?
Special, lucrative items that are only available this way, items that will never be in a box, that’s what. Special lucrative items, and everyone is getting one of them.
Let’s introduce you to these items!
brooke item: reverses the effect of a powerup if used within 10 minutes of the powerup’s use. if used after the ten minute window it allows the user to take a small percentage of the powerup, depending on what it is, based on how soon they use the item after the powerup’s use.
jeremy item: takes away 50 points from one team, gives 25 to your team and 25 to the other team besides the one you took the points from.
michael item: rolls a die for effects. 1 and 4 give the user 15 extra points, 2 and 5 gives the user 30 extra points if they reach a certain (randomised) wordcount, 3 and 6 gives the user 15 extra points taken from another player of their choice.
christine item: allows two random players on different teams to swap points, giving them immunity from items being used on them, both from other players and themselves.
brooke item asterisk: this item applies only to the following powerups:
tiaras
swords
+point tickets
houseplants
point sucking items (plasma ray, sapphire stealer, point succ-er, etc)
percentage cut of the powerup’s points:
used between 10-15 minutes later: 50% of points affected by the powerup are given
used between 15-20 minutes later: 30% of points affected by the powerup’s user are given
used between 20-30 minutes later: 25% of points affected by the powerup’s user are given
used between 30-45 minutes later: 15% of points affected by the powerup’s user are given
used between 45-60 minutes later: 10% of points affected by the powerup’s user are given
used between 60-75 minutes later: 5% of points affected by the powerup’s user are given
used more than 75 minutes later: the only effect is that you just wasted your item.
Now that you’ve read that, you’ve picked your favourite item, you’re ready to find out what you got, to see me open your ‘box’ in the server... well, too bad. The recipients of each item have already been chosen by Zoe!
Here’s who’s getting what:
~Jeremy Item~
@zoes-dumb-writings
@im-actually-ok (dropped out)
~Michael Item~
@ouzoa11-writes
@heereigoagain
~Brooke Item~
@nbchristinecanigula
@junietuesday
~Christine Item~
@portinaris
@swagcoolcat
@certifiedboyf
Everyone got One and only One of their assigned item, and this item will not count towards your item limit.
In addition to all this! Everyone is getting 6 boxes today, since there will be no other rounds to use them on. There will be no boxes after this Round 12.
There are also! Two new wordcount levels, Venom and Sun God. Not that I expect anyone to hit them... but just to say I have them.
Venom is 25k, and Sun God is 30k. Venom is worth 40 extra points, Sun God 50. I doubt anyone will get either, not even @ouzoa11-writes. Sun God is 10k every day for three days!
That being said... the 5am cutoff time? Now nonexistent for our final round. The new cutoff time is 11am EST on Monday, giving everyone a little extra time to write.
Alright! Now, I will finally, finally, finally show y’all what this weekend’s theme is!
BATTLE ROYALE WEEKEND!
This is the Hunger Games weekend in a Be More Chill writing challenge. The difference is that there’s no opening ceremonies, and no crazy costumes, and no child slaughter. This is just pure simulated basic Hunger Games, but with writing, rather than child slaughter.
Here’s how it works:
At least 5 people have to agree to sprint at once. If I’m not among them, make sure you keep track of your rounds!
You must do a 10, 15 or 20 minute sprint (doesn’t matter which, just one of the three. A sprint of any other length doesn’t count). The winner (the person with the highest wordcount) gets 4 points, second place gets 3 points, third place gets 2. Everyone else gets 1 point, except for the person with the lowest wordcount. That person is ‘killed’ and cannot participate in the sprints of this particular Battle Royale anymore.
In the event of a tie for last place or a wordcount difference between the lowest and second lowest players of 10 words or less, nobody is killed. For a tie for a place, both people receive the extra points. There is no wordcount difference rule for placing.
Sprints continue this way until there are only 3 players left, at which point there are no more third place extra points. At 2 players left, the winner of the sprint will receive 5 points, and the loser will be left with nothing but the points they’ve collected thus far, ‘dead’ on the side of the channel.
I’ll keep track of points for battle royales, but if I’m not in one, it would be very nice if you would all write a post at the end with the scores of all the participants so that I’ll see it.
Speaking of which! For CAH Points, I’m giving everyone perms to pin posts, please pin your final leaderboards!
Okay, okay, after aaaalll that, I’m finally ready to give out prompts. There will be new special prompts in the discord (the old ones only count for 5 extra points, now.) and the prompts for this round are worth 4 points apiece. There’s also more than 6 or 3, but there’s no penalty for not using prompts, just that you won’t receive the 4 points for that prompt.
Here they are!
Okay, that’s about it! Your works must be at least 500 words long and be submitted by 11AM EST on Monday, and you must use all 3 prompts (or you’ll loose points!) To submit, post on Tumblr and @bmc-gift-exchange , if you post on ao3 post the link instead.
And lastly, if yall can count up how many points you think you have this round and indicate that in your post, I’ll give you an extra 5 points just for that!

last man standing challenge 2020
are you trying to write during quarantine but can’t seem to get motivated? do you like friendly competition, active discord servers with fun bots, and a reason to write every day?
well, then, welcome to the last man standing challenge!
how does this work? wtf even is this?
simple! starting on may 10th, you write 500 words a day, until you give up, or fail to write that much. the competition continues indefinitely, until there’s only one person left writing. that’s it!
seriously? that seems almost too simple.
nope, that’s it!
so i can write anything for this?
here’s what qualifies and what doesn’t:
YOU CAN WRITE:
fanfic
original fiction
original nonfiction (cannot be assigned for school)
essays (cannot be assigned for school)
YOU CAN’T WRITE:
anything that was assigned schoolwork BESIDES assigned creative writing
everyday writing (shopping lists, emails, snail mail)
work related writing
how do you know that i’ve written the required amount every day? and do i have to post my writing anywhere?
we’re on the honours system here, all you have to do is tell me that you wrote! in our server, we’ll have a channel just for saying ‘hey, i wrote!’ if you’re not in the server, just dm me on tumblr to say ‘hey, i wrote!’
as for posting, you’re encouraged to post on here or on ao3, depending on what you write, but it’s not at all required. if you post, please mention @bmc-gift-exchange so I can see your post!
this sounds great! how do i sign up?
right here! it’s a super simple signup form, and once you sign up you’ll be sent the discord server link, it’s that easy!
make sure you reblog when you sign up, and tell your friends, so we can have as many people as possible!
any questions? send an ask or dm me!

Now, let’s head straight for prompts! This round will not have guaranteed 10 points, so not submitting will result in a big fat zeeeeroooo.
Here’s your prompts for Round 11... our last weekday round. :(
(i had to find the images again and paste the links, one of the prompts i couldn’t find again, so ill put it in the discord and you’ll get 2 extra points for using it!)
Okay, that’s about it! Your works must be at least 500 words long and be submitted by 5AM EST on Friday, and you must use all 3 prompts (or you’ll loose points!) To submit, post on Tumblr and @bmc-gift-exchange , if you post on ao3 post the link instead.

GRAND TOTAL: 571 Points
Alright, that’s it for points. Now that you’ve skimmed that section of the points just to find out what I have up my sleeve for Wordy Weekend, here it is!
BOARD GAME WEEKEND!!!
CAH was a huge hit, was it not? So I decided to bring in some more board games for points.
Here’s how it works!
I have 2 games: Candyland and Scrabble. Those are the games I found in my house and had all the pieces to. (These are also pretty simple games for the way they’re gonna be played, Scrabble being a bit more complicated than Candy Land.)
Everyone can only play 2 games a day (because I’m not superhuman) and you get points for playing them... obviously.
Here’s how gameplay works for each specific game. I’m not explaining the basic rules because.... yall should know that much. But I’ll explain in the server if any of our non-American players have never heard of these.
CANDYLAND
I can accommodate 4 players at once on Candyland. Gameplay is as usual. All the regular cards have a +1 point value. Double block cards are worth +2 Points. Character cards have a +5 Points value. First one to the castle gets +15 Points, second gets +10, third gets +5, fourth gets +3.
SCRABBLE
I can accommodate 4 players at once on Scrabble. Gameplay is as usual. You only get points for using certain letter tiles, and special spaces on the board. The points are as follows:
Letter tiles V, W, X, Y, J, K, and Z: +2 points, an additional +3 points for every additional of any of these letters you can put in a word.
Double Letter Score: +3 Points
Triple Letter Score: +4 Points
Double Word Score: +5 Points
Triple Word Score: +5 Points
When the game is over, everyone gets additional points for their placement.
First Place: +10 Points
Second Place: +8 Points
Third place: +5 Points
Fourth Place: +3 Points
When you play Scrabble, I’ll be constantly DMing you about your tiles so that nobody can see yours. This also means that since I’ll be looking at everyone’s tiles, I can’t play, myself. Whoops.
I will keep track of everyone’s points for games, other than CAH. Y’all are on your own for counting your points for that, and if June ends up counting everyone’s points again, she gets an extra 5 points. So I’d suggest... you not.
I’m responsible of keeping track of your points in every individual game, but you guys are responsible for keeping track of your *overall* points.
Every player can only play 2 games a day, and I have physical games with me and I have to ‘play’ them, keep track of scores, etc. This isn’t a bot.
So, playing will be on my time. If I disappear for an hour, that means my mom wanted lunch/dinner and wanted to watch America’s Next Top Model with me. If I’m watching TV with my mom, then I can’t also play games for y’all. My mom rules, guys.
You guys can tell me to start games whenever, but when I actually get to them/how long they take is entirely dependant on my time. If you request a game on Saturday night and I don’t get to it till 1am on Sunday, it won’t count towards your 2 game a day total for Sunday. I’ll probably be most available for games during the late evening or at random times throughout the day.
Also, I can only do 1 game at a time. I cannot and will not do Scrabble and Candy Land at the same time. Again, I am not superhuman. That’s also part of why, again, why you can only do 2 games a day.
Okay! Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here’s your prompts for Round 9! (Special prompts are eligible for use again; they haven’t changed.)
Okay, that’s about it! Your works must be at least 500 words long and be submitted by 5AM EST on Sunday, and you must use all 3 prompts (or you’ll loose points!) To submit, post on Tumblr and @bmc-gift-exchange , if you post on ao3 post the link instead.
And lastly, if yall can count up how many points you think you have this round and indicate that in your post, I’ll give you an extra 5 points just for that!

Round 8 Start
Press A To Start
Round 7 was a round of burnout, procrastination, and a whole lot of Cards Against Humanity.
I’m too desperate to get this post out ASAP to dilly dally around, here are the scores for Round 7! Note that there are no player numbers today, you’ll see why in about 2 seconds.
FIRST PLACE
Team Michael
ouzoa11-writes - 87 Points, Diamond
swagcoolcat - 0
waddlewaffle4600- 0
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 87 Points GRAND TOTAL: 1,501
SECOND PLACE
Team Jeremy
junietuesday- 91 Points, Bronze
nbchristinecanigula- 34 Points, Bronze
im-actually-ok - 0
beanmorechill (mascot) - 4 Points
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 129 Points GRAND TOTAL: 1,164
THIRD PLACE
Team Christine
certifiedboyf- 8 Points, Bronze
portinaris - 10 Points, Silver
heereigoagain - 24 Points, Silver
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 42 Points
Participation Award: +5 Points
GRAND TOTAL: 500 Points
Why, Dev, wtf is this? I hear you asking. Some of these teams look almost normal but not quite and then team Christine is completely wackadoo.
This was @ouzoa11-writes‘ prize for being the first Wordy weekend Winner! The prize was that I gave her an anonymous list of players, the only identification a number, and she grouped them and I assigned them to teams. It was postponed last week because of the stream of dropouts, and now it has been unleashed (somewhat anticlimactically) here!
My only takeaway from this round:
burnout and exhaustion
Anywaaayyy. Here’s your round 8 prompts!
We’re in World 2, so that seems to be a pretty good excuse to give you guys 4 prompts. You won’t loose points for not using prompts this round, and in fact, the theme of this round is the Rest Round.
A Wordy Weekend Winner’s prize will still apply this round, but everyone will get a base 10 points just for existing, no need to write at all this round, especially if you play CAH with us! We all need the break, as proven by this rushed and sad post.
Okay, that’s about it! Your works must be at least 500 words long and be submitted by 5AM EST on Friday, and you must use all 3 prompts (or you’ll loose points!) To submit, post on Tumblr and @bmc-gift-exchange , if you post on ao3 post the link instead.
And lastly, if yall can count up how many points you think you have this round and indicate that in your post, I’ll give you an extra 5 points just for that!

World 2, Round 7 Start
Press A To Start
Hey, y’all! This was our second Wordy Weekend, and the midpoint of the entire challenge! This Wordy Weekend’s theme was Comeback Weekend... and it did not disappoint. Crazy points, scheming, and a heck ton of word sprints moulded our final round in World 1.
Let’s get right to it! Here are the scores for Round 6!
I received submissions from the individuals in bold.
FIRST PLACE
Team Michael
Player 1: @ouzoa11-writes: 610 Points, Plasma
Player 2: @portinaris - 77 Points, Bronze
Player 3: @swagcoolcat - 0
Supplementary Points +35
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 939 Points
First Place Award: +10 Points (because that matters so much)
GRAND TOTAL: 1,404 Points
SECOND PLACE
Team Jeremy
Player 1: @nbchristinecanigula: 0 (Plasma Ray)
Player 2: @certifiedboyf: 216 Points, Sapphire
Player 3: @fic-sparks: 36 Points, Bronze
Player 4: @junietuesday: 110 Points, Titanium
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 721 Points
Participation Award: +5 Points
2nd Place Award: +8 Points
GRAND TOTAL: 1,027 Points
THIRD PLACE
Team Christine
Player 1: @waddlewaffle4600: 67 Points, Bronze
Player 2: @galactic-doodles: 0
Player 3: @im-actually-ok: 37 Points, Bronze
Player 4: @heereigoagain: 0 (Plasma Ray)
TEAM TOTAL THIS ROUND: 104 Points
2nd Place Award: +8 Points
GRAND TOTAL: 448 Points
Some notes from this round:
A moment of silence for me @nbchristinecanigula and @heereigoagain, for our fics were zapped with @ouzoathena11’s plasma ray. Had I not been zapped, my fic would have gotten even more points than hers.
Speaking of big points, @certifiedboyf is our weekend winner by a long shot!
Obviously, Team Christine underperformed this weekend, and was bumped down to third place.
Team Jeremy did their best despite our fic with the most plentiful points getting zapped, coming just about 400 points behind Team Michael!
Team Michael, despite having their team torn apart and put back together again with switcheroos, and having an empty spot, performed spectacularly!
Now this round is our very first.......
Special Weekday Round!
This round will not be your everyday Monday-Tuesday round, but it certainly won’t be the high point wrangling Wordy Weekend.... or will it?
Because the thing about this particular special weekday round (SWR) is that nobody knows what’s so special about it!
From here on out, every single weekday round will be a SWR, as we’re now in the second half of the competition and things are most certainly heating up...
But that’s all I have to say about this for today! Here are your Round 7 prompts!
A couple more things to note:
Y’all cannot use the special prompts from this weekend again unless I say so. I mean, you can use them, but you don’t get points from them.
Additionally, I only counted the sprints of the people who told me how many they did... for those of you who did a ton and didn’t get any credit for it, I’m really sorry, but I’m not going to go back and count them in your score.
Let this be a lesson to you, indicating these things matter! I am not superhuman, if I tried to manually count everyone’s sprints I would die. It was hard enough just to count up everyone’s points and multiply things today, and I’m sure I miscalculated something, somewhere. :P
Okay, that’s about it! Your works must be at least 500 words long and be submitted by 5AM EST on Wednesday , and you must use all 3 prompts (or you’ll loose points!) To submit, post on Tumblr and @bmc-gift-exchange , if you post on ao3 post the link instead.
And lastly, please make sure to say in your posts how many prompts you used! It makes my job that much easier and makes round posts come out that much faster.
