I have made the tough decision to move V onto a fresh blog. I’m really nervous and scared, but I need a fresh start. This blog was my safe space for so long, but within the past year for several reasons it stopped. I hate that it went down that way because I love this account and V so much. It gave me so many happy moments and great friends. So I wanted to bring V to a new blog to hopefully re-establish that. It might not be the same, but I’m hoping that in the long run in will make me feel better.

That being said if anyone wants to find me and V we’re now at @frailcompass!

I will also carry over some threads from here if anyone would like to continue them! Thanks to everyone who stuck by me and who took the chance on me and V while on this blog. It really means everything to me and I can’t wait to continue writing with V! See ya’ll over there if you decide to join me! Thanks lovelies. ♥

🧥 - Wrap a coat around my muse

         A chill had begun to settle in the air with the change of the seasons. It nipped at any exposed skin and sent a shiver down his spine. In a way it was almost refreshing. A cold contrast to the heat that was suffocating and instead allowed him to breathe in deeply. It left his mind a bit more clear despite the redness that it had dusting his cheeks in protest of the temperature. Out here he didn’t have to listen to the sounds of the others laughing or crowding the space. Not that he minded, but at some point it had become overwhelming and he needed time to just himself.

         Yet when he felt the presence of someone joining him, and the soft fabric of a coat draping warmth across his shoulders, he couldn’t help but smile. His fingers twisted into the coat to pull it around himself tighter as he finally realized how cold he actually was. Glancing up at Juliette, the curve of his lips only seemed to brighten as he patted the empty spot on the concrete step beside him.

         Regardless of his desire to be away from the noise Juliette was always welcome company. While he could say the same towards the others the understanding that they had between them was immeasurable. Neither of them pushed too hard, but just enough to stand by one another’s side. It was only one of the things out of many that V valued about her.

         Gently resting his hand overtop of hers, he looks back up towards the moon. The glow is hazy in his vision but it’s easy to imagine how bright it looks, especially with her sitting beside him. So he gives her hand a light squeeze as he quietly speaks. “It seems that the night has only grown more lovely tonight.”

“V…” he starts to say, “Is this something you’re trying to convince me? Or yourself?” He suddenly asks him as if he knew what the male was thinking. “You need to be honest with yourself more than with others. Is this really okay to do? V, it’s okay to ask for help, and it’s okay to feel the need to talk to others…you’re not alone in this. You never were. You take on a burden on your own isn’t just insane, but it’s also heartbreaking for others to see. It’s obvious enough for people close to you to realize…not I’m not saying that I would be considered someone…who would be considered a close friend I guess, but I can relate to you, maybe not to your extent, but I can still understand. But you also have to realize that putting yourself at risk is also putting others at their own risks too. Don’t expect them, or even I, will stand by watching you suffer.”

          Hugging himself tighter, he gives a few shakes of his head in response to Jack’s words. “Even if it wasn’t okay...would that matter in the end? No one else should be involved in my mistakes. I can’t ask anyone to put themselves in danger for me. Yes, I know things will hurt others. That’s out of my control.” He feels a tear trickle down his cheek which he quickly brushes away with his hand.

          “I just want to do what will hurt everyone the least in the end. I will go through whatever it takes so long as it means my loved ones don’t have to be effected by this devastation.” His voice is now quiet as he turns to look back at the other. “Is it wrong to wish for everyone’s happiness?”
