      The Draenei had only recently begun to read NANA, and she'd absolutely devoured through the series, up until she reached the twenty first volume where she wasn't able to read any further as all of the memories of the characters flooded her mind. Their sadness, their pain, and even the disappointments they all experienced rang through her head. She'd begun crying so much she had to put it down as she understood all of it, especially the absolute misery of losing someone she once loved or losing a friend.       Eliina was fully aware that the characters were nothing more than a work of fiction, but, despite not being human herself, she could very easily put herself in the situations the protagonists went through. Thus, she lay the manga on the floor, hugging herself as the tears poured from her eyes, unable to make them stop.

      The moment each cat got some attention, they both began to let out low grunts, even some chuffing sounds as they began to lean into every single bit of attention they got. When the attention wasn't on her, Kurenai began rubbing her face against the boy, each and every time using more and more of her body weight, as if trying to push him over. The supervising Draenei couldn't help but giggle at her cats as the boy, who she now knew as Dennis, pet them as though they were the house cats they'd mentioned prior.    ❝   I'm Eliina, and no need to worry. It's not every day I run into someone willing to pet my kitties. Ah, they truly seem to like you, listen to them chuffing!   ❞

"Kind of how like a big dog does." Dennis concluded with a wry grin before slowly bending down into a crouched position and reaching to scratch each saber behind an ear. Both of the cats were given equal amounts of attention of course, but Dennis' eyes stayed focus on Kurenai, either waiting for her to come lean on him so he could intercept the gentle tackling, or let it happen; It's hard to say.

"I'm Dennis, by the way." He glanced up at the blue woman, flashing a more genuine smile and waddling closer so he could scritch the sabers kitties better. "Sorry, probably shoulda said my name earlier."

      The Draenei supposed it was natural for someone who didn't spend everyday with them to think that they were scary, especially since cats this size were usually wild and weren't the type to be on a leash. Yet, Eliina wouldn't take them outside if she knew they'd be a danger to people. For just a moment, what he'd do since he did say that they were friendly before an unexpected, yet relieving question was asked. A wide grin spread across her pale blue visage as she excitedly replied,    ❝   Of course! They love pets, especially chin scratches. Though, I will warn you, Kurenai will put her full weight on you if you let her.   ❞       When stating the cat's name, Eliina pointed to the large white, striped saber.

"Yeeeaaah..." Dennis raises one his arms to rub at the back of his neck, unsure of what to say or how to proceed. Naturally with caution, but sometimes the right words didn't come easily to him and he winded up making more problems than solutions with them. "They're kinda scary looking, even while on a leash and all docile looking. But they seem friendly at least!"

There's a moment of question hesitation as he reconsiders the saber cats. Then, he blinks at them, and looks back to the woman. "Can I pet one, actually?"

      Looking between her two saber cats, Eliina became a bit confused as they were house cats, they lived in her house with her. Though, she soon realized he meant cats who were much, much smaller than her own pets.    ❝   Is that why so many people look so terrified when I pass by when walking them? They shall not bite! I tamed them myself, both of my kitties are like house cats, just... bigger.   ❞

"Yeah, no. I get it. You gotta take your pets out to get them some exercise and enrichment and stimulation and all that." While Dennis is nodding along, his eyes and smile are growing wider with strained politeness. Those beasts may be pets, but they're anything but neighborhood friendly in his eyes. "But, uh. Most people who walk their cats have, like, house cats. And not... those."

      𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒊𝒏𝒂 never before understood why humans called hot days miserable when they provided so much light and beauty, but after being outside for a photo shoot in the clothes they wouldn't allow her to take off, she finally understood. The Draenei just wanted to go inside and cool down, but the director kept telling her 'One more photo.' It was fine the first time, but not the tenth and she was about ready to just go inside regardless of what the team said.
