I just checked Tumblr out of pure boredom and it shocks me that there’s still 1500 of you that still care about my blog wow I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a century. Just thinking back on the days that I told myself I’d never stop using Tumblr and it’s kinda cool to scroll through to see who’s still here.

No pup ever enjoyed being on their back or in the sun as much as you, Lucy. 

I lost my best friend today and it was completely unexpected. We lost her sister, Peggy only 3 months ago and I truly believe that Lucy died from a broken heart. Her health was fine up until a couple days ago but when I woke up this morning, I never expected this day to be your last on earth. Today was one of the hardest days of my life and I’m still in complete shock. I can’t explain the pain of losing two family members within a couple months and I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever be okay with owning a dog again. Lucy was my first dog and she was my comfort and my true best friend. I’d give anything to have one more day to bring her to the beach and rub her sun kissed tummy and writing all this out is the first step I’m taking in order to heal, no matter how bad this hurts.

Bummed because I finally found a video that my friend Mary put together of us dying our hair with For Emma by Bon Iver in the background but it won’t let me play it because she deleted that Tumblr account. Today marks a year that she’s been gone and I still think about her most days. I wish there was a way I could watch that video even if it was just one more time.
