Happy Halloween! Here's a basic one with a different art style than usual. Let's hope my confidence doesn't shatter into atoms.

(Despite my best efforts, 2023 has NOT been my year. So much shit went down, I swear, and nothing I could control. It probably won't get better until the new year but Halloween is always great. Hopefully I'll be able to use the good mood it's put me in to be a bit more active. No guarantees.)

Keeping this short:

Wip update on Anjali, blocking out some basics and what plans I have for her outfit. These will not be the final colours for her as of yet but it's helping build my perception of the future! Still need to smush around a few things to get them right but so far it's going good.

This is Anjali who's basically a super soldier made specifically to be very good at the war that takes place in her world. She's 6'5 btw and she usually wears a helmet for reasons I'll spill when she's complete.

A few things I need to fix, then I'm just gonna faff around and have fun getting her complete. Got ideas for an outfit though I really want to keep her abs visible. They're fun to draw, okay? Also want to add an optional effect so there'll likely be two near identical final pieces for her.

GG (who's actual name/alias I will not disclose at this time), the MILF that's technically a GILF. Still need to fix some stuff but I'm more focused on outfit possibilities right now. I'm unsure if I want to go for a look like the one kinda sketched out or an older one. I'll probably slap some colours on to decide. If I go older, I'll have to see about changing her hair.

When that's done, I need to decide which direction I want that foot above the ground facing. Left it kinda ambiguous. Also need to reshape her legs and hips and see how I actually want her arms - though I'm liking them at the moment, they could use some adjustments. I was hugging that liquify tool a bit too much so some things are not right. And, of course, figure out the background. I know what kind of chair I want to go for but haven't referenced anything as of yet.

Either way, probably will reblog the finished ver to my comic character art blog simply because she is a fan oc. Might use it to introduce any followers there to this blog. Might not. Still need to make a pinned post over there but I'm not feeling very confident about that at the moment.

The wip that I'm currently using as my profile pic = Aiden!

He's technically a tiefling except one of his mums (he has two) is a fallen angel while the other is a pure first gen tiefling. I'm sure his parents are proud, look at that smile!

His hands are currently reference images because the sketch underneath, while not the worst, is not that great. You can find the reference images I used here or on facebook which seems to be the safer option. That, or you could just search up 'holding pistol reference' in your browser.

I need to make adjustments to his tail and some other things. Also need to grab my bird wing skeleton ref and use that properly for his wings. Change any colours I'm unhappy with and once that's all how I want it, I'll do proper line art and colour it. Then flesh out the background and shading/lighting and then it should be done!

Leona, a half-elf half-human all-mean lady with standards for everyone but herself. Another quickly done headshot for an rp that helped fully realise her character. I've only ever doodled her before but didn't really know what I was reaching for. Now I know. Now, she's a manipulative gaslight gatekeep girlboss that mansplains and admits to manslaughter to get away with the genuine murders. She's the law and she's not guilty.

Absolutely rocking those glasses is Iragu belonging to Carvanha for the BADLY DTDAY thread! To quote myself: 'Saw her and immediately wanted to draw her. Took some creative liberties with the primary and made the stars on her head sunglasses. The bold colour style was very fun! I may have gotten carried away!'

Definitely not my best work but murder by colour always helps bring harmony to a piece... Sometimes. Most of the time I'm just messing around with the colours. So perhaps the better way of saying it is bringing chaos to a piece? Eh, depends.

He's mainly involved in a private rp with a friend but I've put him out there a little. He's a giant softy underneath all that edge.

Featuring the distracted boyfriend meme template, an unreferenced Spider-man and 90s inspired outfits. I have no idea how accurate the outfits are to the time period. Looking at 90s outfits strikes me with a mix of awe and disgust even though I can't pinpoint what exactly makes me feel that way. All I knew while making this was that I couldn't find any sign of this template for these three. It may not be as popular as it once was. I have no defence. At least I managed to hold off on the lighting.

The live action Flash Thompsons.

I tried colour picking but there isn't a picture with them all together in the same lighting so sorry if their skin, eye and hair colours aren't right. I cannot tell, I am colourblind :/ Also have no clue if their heights are correct. Btw, I am very proud of the shoes considering how close I was to breaking down about them. Hands I can endure drawing. Feet and shoes? Terrifying. I have no clue what I'm doing. But I did it. There are mistakes throughout this piece but I don't really care about them. It'll just be something I'll be on the lookout for when I draw more things.

I tried dressing them how I think they would. MCU is rich and would probably flaunt his Spider-man merch. TASM would probably be more subdued and practical, easy to blend in but can be picked out as a Spidey fan. I definitely felt like I had more freedom with Raimi Flash than the others. He hasn't been used much which is as much as a blessing as a curse. On one hand, you don't get to see him as often. On the other hand, he doesn't get butchered by the writers and can create your own interpretation of him. So there were many options on how to present him. I decided to go with something that hopefully shows that he isn't to be messed with. Also, leather jackets are my solution to everything, especially when showing that a person is a hosting a symbiote. Those buttons as eyes? Perfect.

What's happening? I don't know, there are many possibilities and I can't settle on one. You decide.

Mainly seeing how to light the symbiote. I now have a basic idea of how to go about it for future pieces. I also just wanted to draw them doing wierd kissy stuff - whatever counts as kissy stuff to them. I'm sure this isn't the wierdest way they could kiss but I choose not to think about that.

My stylus has broke and I won't be able to get a new one for quite a while. So my halloween project may be delayed unless I do almost the entirety of it with my fingers. I'll probably find some old stuff to post or post some traditional work while trying to complete the digital stuff and spend more time on my writing.

ART WIP DUMP because life is being a little annoying thing rn so I'll post this and hopefully be motivated to finish this stuff. Without a stylus because it broke like the fragile thing it is. I would say this is making me nervous but I'm well aware where I stand as an artist. I'm aware of my mistakes and I know where to improve next.

Closest to completion, symbiot3 stuff. Need to sought out the lighting and shading and hopefully it'll be done.

The thing that has literally taken ten hours already, Raimi Flash as Agent Venom looking very not okay. I'm trying to replicate my traditional style in this one, hence all the lines. Look at those teeth. This is going take way more hours and hopefully look cool.

The Halloween special I had planned, based on the Halloween episode of the animated Spectacular Spider-man, where Flash wears a cheerleading outfit. Still not happy with how the posturing and anatomy looks, will probably use this as a yearly redo project tho.

Eddie being sus. Very easy for me to get uncomfy drawing so I need to be careful. If anyone had suggestions for his clothes, do say, I can't decide. Lots of mistakes but still in the early stages so there's time to fix things. I am scared of the hand going behind his head.

Andi and Scream in my older style. Was meant to be a quick one session draw but tragedy struck. Now I want to redo her anatomy even though I promised myself I wasn't going to focus on that.

Felicia in her black cat fit and Flash in a black spider-man suit. Also very easy for me to get uncomfy drawing. Planning to draw Spidey's hands as the pov so it's like he walked in on them and they were waiting or something. Still needs proper refining before being lined.

You think I'm done with putting Flash here? WRONG- Live action Flashs as dragons because I have issues and love dragons. When these are finished I am going to explain the designs.
