Death is so extremely fucked up and i dont think the human psyche is equipped to deal with it at all. Like i dont think out of all the therapy and coping skills we’ve invented and all the philosophy and theology we’ve made none of it really explains anything or provides comfort. Like that person is no longer here. Theres a husk of the shell they used to walk around in buried 6 feet under or in an urn on someones coffee table. Humans are not just their bodies and in the grand scheme of things our bodies aren’t our consciousness at all. But they’re all we have when we’re alive and its all we leave behind.
