Note
I think there can be multiple interpretations of the character. Especially since he's been around the same age on average for 60 years.
Gravitating to having a father figure makes a lot of sense. Especially when he already had a father figure in the first place; his uncle. That's why many versions of Spider-Man, he eventually does it.
Also claiming Spider-Man is supposed to be an independent "man" from design is really short sighted. He also was barely able pay rent on time and keep up with personal relationships with SOs and his mother figure who also is always there on average for the past 60 years.
With MCU spider-man we get to see a character ARC that serialized comic books don't always have the ability to do. Especially in the 60s. He always had to return to center. Now, from the implication of NWH we will see him struggle all on his own. No father figure or mother figure anymore. Struggling to pay rent and trying to balance his life in how he sees fit. While trying to be healthy psychologically. It's very promising!
To put into perspective on why it's okay and awesome to have many interpretations of the character: two other live action Spider-Men helped Peter! Not just with fighting but with struggling with morals, philosophy and what it means to be someone with such great power. A "hero". I'm excited to see what's next
Was Ultimate Peter like MCU Peter? I've been told that, unlike Miles, he idolized Tony Stark?
I do not remember USM Peter idolizing Tony Stark
