Excerpt from my Grad Show piece
Ben: Well you wanted to get married really soon didn’t you?
Meri: Well. I did in that – I knew I was going to marry you. So I felt – why waste time?
Ben: Right.
Meri: Did you feel I pressured you?
Ben: Maybe not then. Maybe it was just pressure I put on myself. But then that’s quite a few people’s experiences: that the man should crack on with it… that he should know very quickly.

Countdown to the gradshow now - somewhat nervous because it's the last hoop I have to be told to jump through and all future hoops are going to have to be 100% self-inflicted! Still - I'm looking forward to getting to express a part of myself that I've kept mostly private up until this previous year; it's finally time to share this piece of me.
35 Days and Counting.

Having an interesting time beginning the process of creating images out of nothing so the portfolio isn't submitted completely empty. Can't wait to be finished and no longer have to jump through other people's hoops: I prefer working at my own pace. But sure, I'll probably miss it once it's over.
But then again maybe not.

Been doing a bit of editing ever since I finished my thesis sooner than I thought I would. Here's hoping my practical skills haven't completely diminished on me!

After an exhausting trip up North we were gifted several back editions of Source Magazine which I have to say made me feel very productive after reading. When I got home my dad was as eager as ever to hear about my adventures in photographing.
I know I don't always realize it, but I'm really lucky to have him.

I could lie and say that I've been working on some stuff lately and here it is, but in reality I'm completely stuck in the classic post-summer rut and haven't photographed in ages. In fact, these are the photos from my last rut... Here's hoping my current rut will produce more successful fruit

Been updating old photos for my new website; it's crazy to think how different my photoshop skills are now compared to then!
Website and business cards coming soon - watch this space!

Dun Laoghaire - 30th August 2009.
It strikes me as incredulous to look at this image and remember the entirely undone creature I used to be.
How changed I have become: almost as changed as the tide and the clouds themselves - and I thank God for that...
