Let me tell y’all when I say it was just pure vibes when I was cooking this up, my most proudest scarecrow moment

A lot of people like to say that Jonathan’s fear toxin is a crutch, but here’s the thing. He doesn’t need it.  In this story, all it took to have the city quaking in fear was a lie. They were told by Scarecrow himself that a new strain of toxin had infected the city and within minutes everyone was crying in fear.

But not even Scarecrow has the ability to contaminate all of Gotham at once, no this was a ruse. He used words alone to frighten the populous. That is something extraordinary, and it should be recognized. This proves that the people of Gotham fear the Scarecrow, and that fear can be harnessed to create chaos.  This also proves that Jonathan Crane is smart. He knew how to manipulate everyone, and he did it with ease.

Jonathan Crane is a force to be reckoned with.

I like the idea of Jonathan Crane teaching himself to read but smuggling early on because he wasn't born with innate smarts Therefore doesn't always knowing how words are correctly pronounced but hey, he's a kid. Give him a break.

And it bites him in the ass a lot as a kid because words like "colonel" and "Epitome" are death traps for anyone who hasn't head the word spoken before

And then he looks stupid in front of everyone

but reality is that he reads every day in the library because he ever so much wants to be smart. Smart people are successful, and he was born poor and ragged. The only way to climb the latter is to keep learning.
