i know this website has turned the magnus archives into a silly yaoi fandom thing for 14 year olds but if you set all that aside it is still one of my favourite texts about guilt and responsibility and blame and fear and complicity with the all-consuming evil system. on account of this and other themes too it is one of the greatest british horror works of our time. it’s also funny and vivid with well written characters and toxic dynamics (that have unfortunately been woobified and flanderised beyond recognition). i don’t listen to the magnus protocol because it seems to me like an obligatory sequel fandombait cashgrab, and too many internet references pull you out of the story. but the original series? twas brilliant. i think about it on the regular
