It is with a sad heart I have to do this so early on in our wee RP’s career, but hey as Will Smith says ‘fail often’ because you learn through your mistakes. Kitten and I have decided to retire Vienna for now. We will be back and learn from the mistakes we made here. Better for it as well. Hope to see you all next time or even about in the RP scene.

Hi! Quick bunch of questions on the lore: When vampires bite someone, does it always hurt, or can it be done painlessly/pleasurably? What kind of positions are there in each family, like there's a leader of course, but apart from that, is there any prominent "job"? Did the king and queen belong to any of the families involved in the conflict? Thanks!
Always feel free to ask about lore. 1) Depending on hard the vampire decides to do it it can be sore, or it can be pleasurable. 2) So for the prominent jobs they could have certain clan members be diplomats or even look after certain branches for the leaders. For example Aleksander Serafin is the actual clan leader. Leon his younger triplet is looking after the business branch and Franciszek the military branch. If you want more information on what positions are open contact @serafiinleon for the Serafins and Sonnentags. @catalinaxibarra for the Ibarras and Staales. @xliacastrc for the Castros and @ethan-wessex for the Wessex clan.3) That clan at the moment is out of play we've kept them out of the public eye to allow the members to mourn. We will soon be re-introduced to the public, but with such a massive change in power, the clan will be having to adjust to new powers

Can any of the classes get sick like a human would?
Both yes and no. They can develop diseases, however they are less likely to develop them than humans are, they are also less likely to end up with the common cold than humans are.

A few questions about the vampires: 1. Do they eat? 2. Do they sleep? 3. Can they "survive deaths" (for example snapped neck) if they were not staked?
1. Nah they do’t eat, they live of blood. They can however drink, but other than for the pleasure it’s not necessary. It’s only dhampires and humans who eat food.
2. Yes. They sleep during day hours.
3. Consdering the aging ritual is a death, yes they can survive it. A ripped off head no. A snapped neck, yes. They will have a bit of a healing period where they will be weaker, and will be more vulnerable, but they do survive a snapped neck, fall from a high height, a knife to the stomach, ect.

How are inter-class relationships viewed?
Good question!
Honestly, it’ll vary from class to class, and also from more liberal to more conservative views within every class, and within every clan.
It’ll also depend a lot on what kind of cross-classes it is. Fewer of the conservative clans and generations with look strangely at you if a pureblood and an aristocrat gets together, however the more conservative clans and generations with perhaps get a bit frustrated i that kind of pairing was to have child together.
Meanwhile a pureblood or an aristocrat dating a first class bitten will cause many concerned glances, but one of the higher classes dating a dhampire or a bitten second class will cause more of an issue in some clans.
Like a sonnentag clan will be very enraged if a pureblood dates classes far from their own, meanwhile a serafin won’t mind too much. The Ibarra clan is very focused on blood purity and mostly cares if it’s purebloods mating and having child with lower classes, but once you get down to who the bitten dates, they don’t care too much. So it’s very much as in the real world, it’ll vary from person to person, but unfortunately due to the nature of the roleplay and the clans, there will most definitely be some vampires who do have serious issues with inter-class relationships
Hope this answers your question!

So I looked at the info about the clans, but I could not find anything about weaknesses, or how the aging ritual happens. Could you tell us a bit about that?
Hey Nonnie, good question and will update that. So as for weaknesses stakes through the heart will cause vampires to die leaving a puddle of blood. Silver is a weakness to vampires as is direct exposure to sunlight. Severity of the burn depends on how pure the blood is. Purebloods, better find some factor 100, because that will hurt a lot. Holy objects and hallowed ground not a thing. Total bs. Garlic smells really bad, but again, not a weakness. Vampires can see their own reflections (I mean considering some of the muses we already have here they would cause a riot if they couldn’t see themselves).
The aging ritual is death (by anything other than a stake). It can happen by accident or on purpose by another party (but the punishment for that is fairly severe depending on clan). The ritual itself is similar to a baptism or any other holy rite passage. The vampire is dressed up nicely walked down the aisle. The Clan leader says a few words and then kills them.

Does the employees of Ethereal live there like a brothel type of situation, or do they live elsewhere?
The employees of Ethereal can choose between the two. You have those who lives there, who often were sold to the Ibarra family and most of their salaries goes to the Ibarra’s to “make up” for what they paid for them. And on the other hand you have those who works there willingly, or those who were born to the Ibarra family, who can choose between living in Ethereal, or living elsewhere while working there.

Does the dhampyres drink blood or do they eat food?
They can do both, but it is definitely recommended for them to have a healthy diet of food, both for their blood supply, but also for physical health. they are more like humans in that sense, but they can also drink and process blood, however that will just keep them alive rather than strengthen them, unlike their full vampire counterparts.
They do have fangs, but theirs are much smaller than the other classes.

How are all the clans set up in Vienna?
Hey nonnie,
Basically Vienna is the Royal city of Europe. Where the king and queen reside. Each of the clans that stay there look after a European country. So each have a clan house they can reside in. Sort of like an embassy where they can check in to and has plenty of rooms for them to stay in if they don’t have a place of their own nearby. Hope this answers your question!
