How will you know the right guy for you? I mean does he have to approach you and propose or you are still not up for marriage?
Please stop making my blog shaadi.com.
Grow a sack and realise that this is no way to approach someone. It’s offensive, demeaning and very irritating.

Tell One thing truly. No lies. If a very rich guy wants to marry you and he is willing to spend as much money as he can on your masters and your arts and promises to take you to visit all the museums were you wanted to go. Than would you agree to marry him. No matter what his nature is. Tell the truth please
No, I wouldn’t. Options like that have always been available, but are of no interest to me.

Those independent and successful women you see on social media have to open up their legs infront of every man kyu k aurat mard k begher srf social media pa hi shair bn skti hy lekin hakeekat kch or hy. P.s i am working in a private sector and i have seen women ruining their lives. Either they get career success but lose their children to drugs and other things or they get their family intact against their careers. A hard truth to swallow. That is why woman sacrifice more in marriage!
I am deeply disturbed by your perception of independent and successful women. Why do we always feel that if a girl is acing her exams, she must be sleeping with the teacher? If she got this job, she must have spread her legs for it.
Why does it escape complete probability that MAYBE she was capable and MAYBE she worked really hard for it?
I am really sorry to hear that this is all you’ve seen. I’m surrounded by women who are resilient, working, with great family life also. Neither their kids are ignored, na he their jobs. And it is NOT only a woman’s job to raise children.

It is basically being unaware of the Islamic principles itself that caused you the trouble. Hmara muashray ma brae naam k musalman to bht milen ga lekin islam pa amal krne wala koi nai milay ga. But then again everyone in this world judges people around them and you yourself are some one who is brae naam ki musalman (your dressing, friends with men, touching bodies with them for photgraphs as per your fb, insta, snapchat). Sorry for the blunt truth but you need to accept a certain things. 2/2
You see, that’s where the problem originates. Where we feel entitled to decide who and what is Muslim . And where we automatically feel like we are better than another. Mazhab khuda Aur uskai bandai k beech mai hai, last time I checked Allah mian isn’t going to make you answerable for what anyone else is doing. So live and let live. And don’t make other people’s doings your business, UNLESS they effect you DIRECTLY.
Hazoor Paak apnai sath guzarti wi prostitute ko bacha saktai hain, aur un par pathar phenknai walai admion ko samjha saktai hain k kia pata wo Allah k tum Sab sai zaida Kareeb ho. Agar unki hasti itnai barai gunah garoon ko khuda k kareeb samaj sakti hai, to who are we to raise a finger on anyone else?

If you were a koji larki wearing a bindi with a dark complexion, nobody would have even looked at you. Basically the majority of people travelling in the metro are from lower middle class backgrounds and they usually watch hindi/tamil movies on their local cable. The general concept in their minds is i.e hindu larki hy begher shadi k bhi sath laet jae gi (because according to them only Islam has the concept of zina). 1/2
That, is an extremely shallow approach.
Clearly in your mind Zina exists only for the female? As in both cases whether I was black or white or hindu or Muslim, the men looking at me still remain the same; ie; majority Muslim.

Now I know you concluded that it was because of a lack of diversity or tolerance, but do you think its probable that your experience was only limited to a Hindu’s experience? So opposed to lack of tolerance it would be targeted discrimination. Theres no justification for it but given the political history, you have a motive. Would this have happened to a Christian? Foreigner? African? Arab? Caucasian? Whats your next big project? btm
Yes it’s completely probable that it was targeted discrimination, which makes it all the more sad!
Lack of tolerance for difference; I stand by. Because that’s something I have witnessed time and time again, in so many different situations. That it appals me. Do I think it would have happened to a foreigner? On the metro. I can’t draw ambiguous conclusions and can only speak from what I studied and experienced.
My next project is actually just going back to my last two years of work and writing up on it :p because I missed out on so so much!

In the BBC documentary, I had assumed you to be a Hindu: they did not clarify that you were actually NOT a Hindu. Real living experiences as a minority is very different from doing a control project, more so in a city like Lahore that does not have an indigenous Hindu population anymore and the city's dynamics do not reflect a minority. Karachi's dynamics do reflect and include Hindus and Christians. Did you ever notice this or tried to have it clarified to the documentary producers?
Documentaries, and anything on the media is often misleading and tailored specifically to fit an agenda.
The study was conducted in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. And my objective was not to dissect racism. If you’ve read up on the blog posts, you must know that it was a college assignment, and involved a letter by Manto. The reason why I picked a Hindu ethnicity was because the letter was dated a few years post partition and tolerance was a problem then too, as it is now.
Minorities are everywhere, and your city racial dynamics don’t have to be outrageously visible for you to develop tolerance for difference.

Hi ujala, You said that your thesis validated a lot of your opinions about the male gaze. What were your opinions about the male gaze? Also was the topic of objectification given to you by your professors or you chose the topic yourself? A curious girl from New Delhi
Hey!
Im going to write up a small essay on my perception of the male gaze soon! It’s such an elaborate debate that I can not possibly pen it down right now.
I chose the topic myself, and I wish I had posted all my thoughts while I was working but I didn’t have the time, and now it’s even harder to take time out to go back to what the process was and how it evolved!

What is the highest amount of money you have earned so far? Just curious to know how much an artist can really earn?
I can not begin to explain the number of things wrong with this question, and how much I dislike it.
