I wanted to draw Peepers again in this Go Rogue AU and while I was getting coffee today I had the BEST idea for a picture. I used the same design as before, but gave him claw gloves, and higher platformed boots. I changed his title to Lord Commander because I love the idea that he still has his inferiority complex and it’s just gone violently out of control. Besides, why would he want to use a name that Hater gave him? (I have a headcanon that Peepers is actually an insulting nickname that Hater started giving the Watchdog and he reclaimed it as a new name.)

You’ll also notice the way I drew his eye damage is different–he has a sliced slera, and I apologize if that made you wince! He gets dry eye really badly because of it, but not only that, he actually can’t see as well without his helmet’s built in frontal guard. When his eyeball is exposed to the air, it hurts a lot, and not only that but he’s gone colorblind. He needs the frontal guard in order to function at peak efficiency… and also be taken seriously.

The frontal guard makes his voice much deeper, much more intimidating. Think like how Lord Dominator’s worked! Similar idea. He recovered a lot of the tech from Dominator’s ship, and was able to re-purpose it for his own means.

If you’re wondering HOW he got the eye damage, well, Lord Hater clawed him across the eye during their last encounter before Peepers went rogue. It’s a cruel reminder.

Boy. I sure love overthinking cartoons. It’s fun!!
