Unique Life Experiences
This is the second in our series of blogs where we look at how we go about “Learning About The Whole Person”.
When producing Video Biographies what is most important to us is to allow the viewers to get to know the whole person, the essence of who they are, and of course, the life they have led.
With their kind permission, one of our clients has allowed us to share several excerpts from the "Unique Life Experiences" chapter of the Video Biography that we produced for her and her family.

What are Video Biographies?
Over the years when we’ve talked to local Australians we have realised just how little is known about personal video biographies and what benefits they can bring to the families involved.
The adoption of personal video biography services in Australia is in its infancy compared to North America where it is an established and steadily growing pastime.
Industry colleague, Steve Pender is a pioneer and leading video biographer who operates his successful Family Legacy Video business, with headquarters in Tuscon, Arizona, US. He has made numerous appearances on the local morning TV talk show The Morning Blend where he talks about his work and the positive effect it has on clients and their families. Here are segments from two separate appearances on this show.
To learn even more about our own life memories VIDEO BIOGRAPHIES service then please give us a call, or send us an email.
We would love to hear from you!

A Diary Talks
A video biography has the potential to reach across generations in the most rewarding and amazing ways.
We have produced this short film where we explore such a possibility, where Eve discovers the Video Biography of her ancestor.
This is her story about a video biography and how inspirational this legacy became for her.

Thinking of a Family Biography this Christmas
As Christmas quickly approaches we find our thoughts gravitate towards family. Christmas holds special memories for so many of us, when families get together to catch-up, have fun together and express their love for each other. We are uplifted by the excitement in our youngest generation of children on Christmas Day and find ourselves reminiscing about our own childhood and the people who were around us at that time of year. Life marches on, however, and many are no longer physically with us, but the memories remain.
When looking back at our younger years it was not so unusual to be barely interested in the life history and experiences of our parents and grandparents, not to mention even older generations. As we get older many of us become increasingly interested in learning about our predecessors and the lives of our past generations. If we are lucky we can seek answers from older family members who are still with us and perhaps look through old photo albums and even old home movies, but we are always left wanting to know more. For example, we wonder how our ancestors spoke and who they may have sounded like. We are curious about their personality and their sense of humour. What effects did world events have on them over there lifetime and how technology changed. The most intriguing question might even be what their view of the future was and the advice they would like to pass on to future family generations.
As you watch your children or grandchildren playing this Christmas think about how wonderful a gift of a video biography of a grandparent or great grandparent would be for them to treasure later in their life, and the beauty is that they can pass it down to their children and so on, forever.
Many people want to put together their own family biographies and we are the first to encourage this as it is a great achievement and something to be proud of. Unfortunately, finding the time to do this properly is sometimes very difficult, and then it is too late. The famous John Lennon song lyric so often sums up the reality of our best intentions - “Life is what happens while we’re busy making plans”.
If you are planning a family biography, the time to act is now!
At Life Memories Video Biographies we are ready to help by pulling your family history project together quickly, and we always feel so honoured to do so.
