Detta blinked as blood dripped from her hand from where she'd pulled the tubes out. "You're not a bad girlfriend and this isn't your fault. I'm a screw up, always have been. You should stop wasting your time on me and find someone who is good for you."

Detta wasn't listening as she ripped the tubes from her arm and tried to get out of bed.

"I need to get out of here." she muttered, tugging at the tubes in her arm, ignoring Abby’s question. "I can’t stay." Detta was starting to get agitated.

Abby new Detta was likely to react like this when she figured out she was in hospital and she was prepared for that. “Detta calm down.” Abby said, “Please love, let the Doctors treat you then I’ll take you wherever you want to go I promise, I’ll do anything.”

Detta woke up just after 1am, in pain and confused. She looked around trying to figure out where she was when she noticed the sleeping form on her bed. “Abby?"

The doctor shrugged and resumed working on Detta. They worked for a few hours, pumping her stomach, monitoring her brain activity and checking the makeup of her blood work. When they were sure she wasn't going to die they left and a kind nurse let Abby back in.

She shot the offending doctor a glare.
